He was probably first introduced to the great composer Joseph Haydn in late 1790, when the latter was traveling to London and stopped in Bonn around Christmas time. Arrived at a nice RV park in downtown Independence, MO Fri eve. It was raining Fri. morning while I was hooking up the car and getting things ready to leave Scott AFB and St. Louis. I take a bicycle ride out the the Grand Traverse Lighthouse quite often. Its located at the very tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, in the Leelanau State Park. The lighthouse is administered by a non profit group under a lease with the Sate of Michigan.
