wow!!! It's been awhile. Almost three Months. We were in Georgetown, TX when I wrote "OTRA 28" in June.
A lot has happened since. However, I spent most of the summer either on the farm where I have trouble getting on the internet; or engaged in adventures that left no time for posting blogs. And, during this summer tbd seems to have lost most of it's core transferees from the old tbd to the new MyAtlantis or other social networking sites. Happy and I are now back on the road and I will attempt to get back to bloging about our adventures. I will probably also post to MyAtlantis.
Here we are back at the farm. A couple of Happy's friends came out to greet us.
Happy surveying his domain.
Enjoying one of his favorite places
It's hard to beat a really thick red clay mud bath
Then in Aug. we got to spend a few days with our friends the PA and Ohio. Larry, TeeBub, and I, had a great time drunk posting while Kittycat made videos and put them on MyAtlantis for the world to enjoy.
Larry and Kitty on their back porch.
The view from the porch. This is where Happy and I played "Fetch" I threw the ball with a "Chuckit" and happy would bring it back as long as I had treats. Larry wasn't as much fun playing "Fetch". It took him too long to drink his treats between fetches.
Caleb, the tree house dwelling, college student, Grandson led me on a merry hike through those woods to an abandoned Air Force site. It was kind of spooky. However, my robo hip held up well during the excursion.
Then, two weeks ago I went on a camping trip with a bunch of my Unitarian friends. We camped at Trout Pond Campground near Lost River, West Virginia.
My 12 year old Grandaughter "Vicki" doing what most 12 yr olds today do on camping trips. Playing with electronic gadjets.
On the weekend of the 27th of Aug I went to my 55th year high school reunion. Not as much fun as the 10th year reunion. Who are these old people?
Last weekend I went to Leesburg Virginia and visited my sons and ex-wife
Youngest son's girlfriend with their English Bulldog, Dolly.
Yesterday Happy and I left the farm just before dark. Drove the 60 miles to Parkersburg, WV where we stayed in a WalMart parking lot. We RV's refer to that as "Asphalt Camping". Was at an RV repair shop at 7:30 this morning. Got the RV oil changed and was on the road by 10:00 am. Tonight we are at the Elkhorn Campground in Frankfurt, KY. Headed for Colorado Springs, CO.
So that is a highly condensed report of what has taken place since the last "On The Road Again" Blog.
I will post as we wind our way across the vast Eastern middle of the country.
Stay tuned for more exciting adventures.
