On January 18 of this year, my friend OCNaturalDoc posted a blog entitled “Michelle’s 46th Birthday Organic Lamb and Lobster Bash.” In it she says, “…something isn't right when someone who promised so much to so many, and has since spent so much on himself and his family, and is preparing to sell so many of us down the river with socialized health care and the extinction of caring for our country's aging population.” She also reports that “The president rented a private room (of…Continue

MusicianSomething to think about….
Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. The man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approximately. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then… Continue
My very first trip with hubby to Puerto Rico coincided with the Fiesta De la Calle San Sabastian- 2 more days of festivities and music. It was a wonderful Sunday to spend the entire day just enjoying the sights, activities and music! We headed into the first crowded local diner and I ordered bifsteak lomillo with monfongo. (steak with onions and mashed plaintains) Delicious! It was one of the best we had because the next few days, we ordered monfongo from the other restaurants and compared it… Continue
The wealth of a nation
is in the wellbeing of its people,
both spiritually and materialistically.
It's not a question of lowering our standards
but of helping others to raise theirs.
If all people everywhere could be content
and their living standards even
and compatible with ours,
there would be no envy in the world
and, therefore, less provocation of war.
When you encourage and help people
to develop their own natural resources,
you… Continue
This song made me tearful. It is usually during the aftermath of a great tragedy, that we can experience an outpouring of love which characterizes the best facet of our humanity- Oneness. I remember attending the vigil near the Gramercy Park area(located less than a couple of miles from ground zero) a few days after 9/11. I've never experienced such a overwhelming feeling of unity and love for the grief of others and for the loss of loved ones. My brother lost… Continue

Yeah-ya, I was. Can you imagine? I’m not a resident of Burlington, but I was in town having coffee, enjoying the sunshine, you know, and it was a bit chilly out, not much was happening and that gave me time to consider carefully a movement underway in the State Legislature. It seems the former president of Middlebury College wants to change the drinking age in the state from 21 to 18. I don’t like…
1. Respect other members and treat them fairly. I will not slander, libel, or otherwise attack other members. I will accept and offer constructive criticism graciously.
2. Always represent yourself honestly. Profile names are allowed, but deliberate impersonation of others is a breach of social network etiquette and a really bad idea.
3. Protect yourself from scammers. Rule of Thumb: If it seems too good to be true it’s probably false. Do not give your personal contact information to… Continue

Researchers who carried out "tickling sessions" on gorillas, chimpanzees and orangutans, believe that it started out as a "grunt-like" noise with our distant ancestors and gradually turned into the more sophisticated chuckles and guffaws we know today.
They made the assertions published in the journal of Current Biology after finding that the evolution of laughter… Continue
I do love to share with you the friend note I like:)
A truly spiritual man or woman would like to have a serene mind. The only way to
keep calm in this troubled world is to have a serene mind. The calm and
sane mind sees spiritual things as the true realities and material things as
only temporary and fleeting. That sort of mind can be never obtained by
reasoning, because reasoning powers are limited by space and time.
That kind of a mind can never be obtained… Continue

Yeah-ya. That’s it, I really do hate it when. I mean really. I. Really. Hate. It. When. Oh. Yeah. I’ll explain.
I was in town the other day. One of the shop windows was advertising THE NEXT WAVE, and I’ll get to that. The window indicated we would get a preview. It’s supposed to be a fashion statement of some kind. It seems that if the next wave…
