I would never do this - really! But have you ever been tempted to start a discussion that says something like "I love this great country of ours - God bless the USA!!!!", have a bunch of responses like "Me too! So true!", and then go back and edit the topic to say "This country is a turd!".
Not suggesting it. It just occurs to my Dark Side.

On the 10th of July it will be my last time wearing a military uniform, and since I was 18 I have wore a military uniform I enlisted at 17 and when I started this journey, to me it was just a short stint. Some was active some was guard or reserve. I never intended for it to go on this long but it did serving 5 years on active duty 4 years in the Marines and the 1 year with the Army Reserve in Iraq. Going 12 years with the Guard and 4 years with the Reserves
I have gone to South…

Though I am sad to think about seeing the old TBD going, going going, almost gone. I must say it is fun seeing the transition. I am actually checking out you other members as you are added here. What a motley crew. After all is said and done I freaking love, "MY GENERATION"!!!
If you still feel like you are searching, still not knowing what you want to be when you grow up, come check out the group I started, "When I Grow UP"

on Avatars, the codes we send out through careful/careless nomenclature. Some are honest, their faces wide, direct, smiling out to all: I Am Here.
Social Networks, so different from the milling pile of bars, dances, clubs, parties, introductions with no prep time. The luncheons, the Hundred Pound Phone, the personal ad. Now, we step out, faces presented at whatever optimum we imagine, crafted and spun in webs of illusion, delusion. Imagining we hide, when we merely lay bare - which…

I know the noun "stalker" has come to mean something, I dunno....negative? But really if you look at the dictionary definition of the root word, stalk (hey I sort of made a plant pun there with root and stalk), well it is a downright appealing word. I will not bore you with the word by word definition, but it includes the following: stealthily, haughty, deliberate, persistent, and stiff--stiff can be good, right? Anyways, "stalk" and "stalker" are…

Approximately 60 hours and counting. I am kind of ascared, but no way am I telling anyone cuz I am supposed to be so freakin tough. I enjoy very much being both tough and extremely girly. It is a skill you know? You look all sort of petite and like you can't run fast cuz you got on 4 inch wedges and your hair costs more than most people's house payment, but at the same time you know you can also kick a man's ass fair and square without ever stooping…

I saw this woman on T.V., Mary Alice from Ace of Cakes, and she has a tatt of Alice in Wonderland on her upper arm. One of those cool illustrations like the original book must have had--not all Disneyfied. So anyway, besides the name relation, I got to wondering why Mary Alice had chosen this one. Then I got to thinking about Alice in Wonderland---got to thinking about what an absolutely original and freakin trippy story it is.
Alice is a…

I wonder if Kat and Robin actually realize how many lives they touched?
From TBD I found the courage to walk away from a marriage that had been dead almost a decade. With the help and support I found at TBD, I was able to weather the storm of protest from so many corners, mostly my family.
I found great friends and a wonderful woman to share my life with.
I found scintillating conversation from many people on many ADULT conversations that were impossible for…
