Would you like a three way, or do you like it spicier than that?

My step daughter has been going to college in Ohio for a few years, and although it's just one state over, the cultural differences often surprise me. One such difference was brought to my attention when she and her boyfriend were here for Christmas break, and asked me if I'd like to try something interesting. Cincinnati's Skyline Chili.

Three way style is a layer of spaghetti, a layer of thin, unusually spiced chili (Maybe some nutmeg and cumin? I'm not sure.) then a layer of finely shredded cheese.

Four way is spaghetti, chili, onions and cheese.

Five way is spaghetti, chili, beans, onions and cheese.

I prefer a nice hot traditional firehouse chili with big chunks of meat and tomatoes.

How do you like it?

It must be an acquired taste. I haven't acquired it yet. It's not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Hell...the more the merrier!!! !!!LOL!!!
I agree with you. Traditional firehouse chile and lots of red pepper flakex
I prefer Prunella Farquar's Texas Chili!
Hmm, my husband has always liked putting leftover chili on spaghetti, and adding extra cheese. I think he's gonna like it when I tell him what it's called, lol!
He might like it more than you want him to.
Ags, glad I made you look! I'm traditional too. Cornbread is great with real chili - Q knows her stuff. It's about the only time that I have a beer too.
I like the four way myself..
I tried that, but I'm not sure the onions were chopped small enough. You were talking about chili, right?
A few names from a recent Texas chili cook-off.
