TBD on Ning

With the thought of Veteran's day coming upon us...I have been heart wrenched over The Fort Hood incident of last week. To think that our Military people have to go to the length of being afraid of even the people who sleep in the bunks in thier same room is beyond even being fathomable to me!
With this in mind...I wish for all of us...to take the time to give honor and gratitude to our men and women in uniform both past and present! This is not a political thread--SO PLEASE DO NOT SHOW DISHONOR by giving any opinion of the war, or any current situation the military is being use for. PLEASE?
Just give honor--gratitude, respect--to people u have personally known, (family members, friends, etc...) or just a general thought to those who have served.

I would like to start off by dedicating this thread to my own Grand father LT. Col. John C. Williams--who was killed in action, in Germany in 1945.

May each and every be remembered,
Each family member carry their pride
May we all take seriously the price that they have paid and are yet paying still today...
We have had family members go to war in almost every conflict the US has had since it’s beginning..
Some never made it home, but we still remember them.

A good kid.

God Bless those in uniform. They are the pride and love of Americans everywhere.
I totally agree with you Kittycat. I served during the Vietnam War and I am very proud of my military service and our men and women in uniform today. God Bless America.
