Biological Impetus
ALL AT ONCE I UNDERSTAND IT!!
I have been wrestling with how to understand why citizen of the United States with an income less than $250,000 a year would vote for a Republican.
This morning the answer came to me. We won't discuss where I was when the light bulb came on. But here it is.
We have programed into our DNA a need for an aristocracy. It has always been so. We need someone or something bigger than ourselves to look up to and try to emulate.
A ruling class. It has always been so. The Founding Fathers
(why do you think they are called that?)
tried to disrupt this human requirement. But the experiment seems to have about run it's course.
Thus the flocking back to religion, to worship of the wealthy, and in a somewhat perverted direction, the social celeberties.

Uhhh, believe me I don't worship the the wealthy......*what a concept*.....or any celebrities. I do believe in a higher power of some sort which I 'worship' in my own way.

Maybe we are all genetically programmed to constantly seek some 'great reward' by working like maniacs...but the reward is always just beyond our grasp. Or maybe religions and corporations plant the seed allowing us to become rigid, combative fanatics idolizing wealth and power.
