Had a couple tomato plants that died, and all I wanted to do is move the pots. But they are fairly big pots, and instead of breaking my back, I figured I would use the 2 wheel dolly to move them. Dolly had a flat tire. I had a can of fix a flat, but the bead on the tire was loose, so I knew the fix a flat wouldn't work unless I sealed the bead. Took 20 minutes to rig a ratchet strap around the tire cause all the ratchet straps were too long. Finally got the bead sealed, and hooked up the can of fix a flat. After a minute, I had to stop to loosen the ratchet strap so I could fully inflate the tire. The hose on the can of fix a flat split and sprayed crap everywhere. Then I had to unroll 100 foot of hose from the other side of the house so I could hose down the garage floor and the driveway. I could have picked the pots up and moved them in about 3 minutes. So far I'm into this whole deal well over a half an hour, and I still gotta move those pots.
OK, I'm done whining now.
My secret weapon to make my plants grow really well is kinda gross but works.I freeze the heads and entrails of fish when the guys bring back the catch from ice fishing and use bits of that under cucumber mounds, tomato plants, what have you.
Can still feel the burn from shlepping 400 lbs of pellets and stowing them in the upstairs closets.
