TBD

TBD on Ning

Kat, or maybe it was akabukowski, once said to me that everyone thinks their life would make a good book.

She is probably right. What do you think?

Here is your chance.

Let's all tell stories from our experiences as we traveled through time.

Ahh, but there has to be rules. They will be pretty loose, but rules there must be.

RULES:

1. It can be any experience that you want to tell us about.

2. It can be as short as one line. Or as long as fifty. Anything over thirty will be deleted.

3.You do not have to end the story at fiftyy lines, but you have to quit writing at the end of fiftyy lines. You can not post again until at least one other person  has posted something.

This ensures that everyone gets a chance.

4.You can continue on the same subject or jump to a new one.

5. Nothing is required to be in chronological order.

6. Very Graphic Sexual discriptions should be posted in the sex talk group. You can direct us to go there if we want to read about it.

7. No one will be checking the facts

8. Additional rules will be posted and implemented as I see fit.

Step right up and post. who knows, the next knock on your door may be Spielberg asking for the movie rights.

I wish you never had to go through that.
no, it sure isn't.
I guess that is some sort of old fashioned learning to be a man thing....I dont think I will ever catch onto that either...HUMMMM?????
Wow Robbie, Is that how you became so gentle?

No, my balls were singed by the best tennis players in the world.

I apologize for any inconvenience this misunderstanding might have caused.

The next time I see Roger Federer, I'll be certain to point him in your direction.

Lessons our parents teach us II

I went to first grade in a one room school house. 8 grades in one room. I went to the second grade in Pittsburgh in a school that must have had 20 rooms. I went to 3rd through 6th back in West Virginia in a school house that had three rooms and three teachers. Two old unmarried women and one young girl just out of college. We had two grades in each room. The young teacher had 1st and 2nd grades. One of the older women had 3rd and 4th and the other, who was also the principal had 5th and 6th.

Since I started there in the 3rd grade I never had the young woman as a teacher.

Paddling was very much in vouge as a form of discipline. I was always in trouble. I received 36 paddlings in the 3rd grade. I never broke that record. But I came close. Sometimes when I got to school early in the morning, I would get a paddling for something I did on the way home the day before. I was obviously ADD. If I was in grade school today, I'm sure they would have me drugged.

However I think those old women had a thing for paddling young boys.

The School had a outside toilet. Actually it was kind of like a toilet complex. one building with two large rooms on each side. One side for boys. One side for girls.

One winter day some workers from the school system were working on repairs to the toilet building . We were out for recess. The school ground was covered with snow and some of the older boys started throwing snowballs at the workers.

When we got back in class the teacher said that what had happend during recess was unacceptable and she was going to give a severe paddling to whoever had thrown those snowballs at the workers.

But no one had identified who it was who had actually thrown the snowballs. So she started around the room questioning who had seen what.

When asked if I knew who had thrown the snowballs I said "Yes"!  When ask who it was, I said, "I don't tattle" . The teacher said "If you don't tell, you will get the paddling". I wouldn't tell, so the paddling started. Being pretty young and immature, I was only able to hold out for about 4 or 5  whacks and broke down and told.

That evening, when I went out to play, one of the older, bigger guys who I had identified beat the crap out of me.

When I came home with a bloody lip and black eye my Mother ask what happend. I told her the whole story.

She went to the school the next day. I wasn't in the meeting but what I was told was that mom had explained to the teacher that I had been taught at home that ; number one. I would always tell the truth.  Number two; I would never be a tattle tail. Number three, if this same type thing ever happened again she would whip the teacher. Since she had just spent two years working in the Pittsburgh shipyards I think she was capable of carrying out number three.  I was never put in that situation again.  I got many more paddlings but none were for sticking to my principals.

Yes, Miss Q....I have stories as well. I call it Cancer Nation.
Awe Quinn.....My Mom died from it & I almost did.....It's frightening..I feel I am living on borrowed time, but it's been about 9 years of borrowed time so far..I was one of the lucky ones. If you worry it might come for you someday there are things you can do to help yourself....Good diet, exercise, don't smoke or drink to much alchohol, a good clean positive outlook on life, well, I can tell by so much of the good things you eat, you are on the ball & maybe know more than I do.....Keep it up Quinn...so sorry about your family

Holy crap. I've just read this thread from page one, and I have to say I have been truly moved by some of these stories. BIG TIME!!! Robbie PM'ed me and asked if I would contribute to this thread. I told him I was hesitant. But after reading some of these soul bearing posts, I MAY have to wade in. Not tonight, but possibly tomorrow, or the next day. I need time to think about this, and about how much I reveal, because there are many TBD members that know that already know much of my story. How much do I repeat, knowing that some members haven't heard my story. How much do I reveal thayt no one knows??? Robbie, this is not the first time you have created a dilemma for me!!!!!!!

Peace, Love, and Monster Hugs to all that gave shared their stories,

TBubD

5, 10, or 20 years from now I might be doing something and visualize Kat, Snagg, caseygo, Kooner, Quinn looking over my shoulder watching me. So you have all gained a bit of immortality.

But right now I'm deeply concerned about finding something good for breakfast.

funes,

Happy says that right now, he is deeply concerned about going out to potty.

Kooner, Good one.  What was the 34 Charlie MOS? I probably knew at one time, long, long, ago in a galaxy  far, far away. They have changed the MOS designators so many times that I probably couldn't even look it up. I was a gunner on a light tank(28 ton) as my first MOS. Then I was a 465 something as a Nuclear Weapons Assembyman, a 30474 in the Air Force, then a 283A, EW Warrant Officer, 285A, communications/Intercept Maintenance Warrant Officer, and 286A, Avionics Warrant Officer. The enlisted career field was 33T/M/S. I don't think any of those exist any longer.

Like most Military people I have many stories. They can be refered to as "War Stories" or "Damn Lies". Neither title is a completly accurate discription.

I do remember being in a bar in Cloudcroft, NM during the Rodeo weekend. We were drinking massive quantities of beer.I was sitting in a booth with a couple of the contestants. A male and a female. At some point that night I remember being bet that the female could whip my ass. I also remember that since she was a big, good looking, barrel racer, and I figured that if I did whip her I would then have to fight half the cowboys in the bar, I declined the offer.
