CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!!! We went with Budget Moving Lines to take our stuff to FL. They shot us a decent quote, and I felt it was a fair price. I then found out that Budget is a broker, and they contract out to other companies to make the actual move. Then went online and found where some people had their belongings held "hostage" until undisclosed fees were paid. Emailed the guy I had dealt with, and he told me not to worry, the packers would be pros, and that there would never be any "hostage" situation. He said he would let me know this morning the name of the company that he would contract out for us. Said he was my advocate and he would handle any details. Anyway, it was supposed to be a 1/3 deposit (non refundable), a 1/3 on pick up, and a 1/3 on delivery. Paid them over $1000 deposit yesterday. This morning I never got an email telling which co. was handling the move, BUT I got an email bill from someone else from Budget for over $750 for "Web Services", and 1 minute later got another one for $250, again, for web services. CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!!!!

OK DD, that is just what I did. Walked away and concentreated on sorting through a life time of stuff. Guess what, I an a TOTAL idiot. The "bills" were not bills, but receipts for the down payment. I felt like such a goof!!!! Anyway, I still haven't got the final total because we keep adding stuff we want to take south. But I finally got the name of the movers. A small outfit out of FL. that has a A+ rating with the BBB. So I am hoping in the near future, I can turn turn my rant into a rave.
