What comes after the initial YES WE CAN slogan? Looking for the unspoken follow up to this phrase, both positive and negative. Call it the fill in the blank game. Here are some examples:

YES WE CAN...say one thing and do another.
YES WE CAN...vote to raise everyone's taxes and not pay our own.
YES WE CAN...fan the flames of racism rather than judge people by the content of their character.
YES WE CAN...screw things up just as much as the Republicans, but in a different way.
YES WE CAN...what?

Control is given over already, to the insurance $$$ mongers. I need heatlh care, and the repukes that are voting against this, have it, compliments of US taxpayers. They are leaches.
They owe to the insurance co.
It is ok with you that people like me and the story of my sis-in-law who will soon have none, go without.
For those who want to stay with their insurance co. great. What about the rest of us??? Die, live a crappy quality of life. Not be able to get preventative care?
Marge -

As I've said in previous posts, I think it's a great concept. However, I don't trust Obama. I don't trust ANY politician. I don't believe it will be all milk and honey like they're promising. It never is. It won't be cheaper and better care. It will be more expensive, substandard care. That's my problem. Not with the idea, but with the consequences that I believe will ensue. When had government ever come in under budget and ahead of schedule?

I wish I had a magic wand - I'd wave it and fix everything. I mean that.
kudos Toby
Food and shelter are even more basic than health care. It seems to me that people could make a good case for everyone having a "right" to those things, too.
Haven't read thru most of the replies. Here's the thing, I don't want FREE CARE, I NEED Healthcare. Having 3 pre-existing conditions, you know my story of how the insurance co. screwed me, I CAN"T GET INSURANCE.
Let me give you another, MORE Serious example. My sis-in-law had breast cancer. (her & I went to school together, she's how I met my husbnd, she's will be 51 this month) Now, the treatment she had took 4 months to get(She has insurance)
By the time they started it, the cancer spread to her bones. So, then they had to do surgery to put pins in her bones, to hold them together. Now, from that surgery she got an infection. They are doing cultures, it most likely is that the infection is in the bones.
And sometime this month, her insurance rate will double, making it impossible for her and her husband to be able to afford it. Hmm, ya think the insurance co might have put off approving her treatment so they could just "get rid of her" ? Talk about worrying about who chooses who lives or dies!!
I am pissed, I am so irate! This woman worked her ass of all of her life at a factory!! Her husband works his ass off!! She has raised 4 taxpaying children and has a son the age of 11!! She has a son serving overseas!!
They had just bought their 1st house relocating to NC as her husband finally got the transfer he worked so hard for...they were on cloud 9.
Think of people like this,it happens every day, many times a day.
Oh, and those who hate gov't in your healthcare who get medicare, why not shout about that, that you should'nt be getting it because it's gov't run!
Grow up people!! This is disgusting! OMG, even people with insurance aren't safe, they just think they are!!
I just want to be able to pay to have insurance, and insurance not to screw people, or kill them!!
Why should it be legal for them to do this to my sis-in-law, to me?
They deny claims, call them pre-existing and wham, you're screwed, next!
This is not going to touch your insurance. It gives people like my sis-in-law a chance to keep getting treatment. It gives people like me a chance to see dr's. Oh, I can see a dr, get a referral for a specialist consult, then what? Nothing. Because I don't have thousands of dollars for tests, xrays, mri, etc,
And you may have that now, but one claim denial can change your whole life!!
YES WE CAN....."Impeach OBAMA!!"
YES WE CAN...indict this posse for criminal conspiracy and torture.

YES WE CAN...raise a stink over waterboarding, but say nothing about people being beheaded. (I can only imagine that if someone had kidnapped and was threatening to kill your child, you would simply politely ask them where your child was and if they refused to tell you, you would shrug your shoulders and say, "Well, I did the best I could. I guess my kid will just have to die." You certainly wouldn't take any stronger action against the person who had information that could save your child's life.)
YES WE CAN...be a torture apologist. Release the memos to show how many witches confessed! It is not torture it's 'enhanced interrogation' What's that I'm hiding behind my back? Just the Geneva Convention.
So, let a bunch of innocent people die instead? It's people like you that make the world a scary and dangerous place. Stand up for what's right and defend the innocent, for crying out loud. The thing is, even though you obviously wouldn't stand up for me, I would stand up for you. Not because I expect anything in return, but because it's the right thing to do.

Torture apologist. Give me a break. If I'm a torture apologist, then YOU SIR are a terror apologist. You've heard that they behead people, right? You are the problem, not the solution. By the way, when have the terrorists EVER followed the Geneva Conventions? That would be never.
HERE! HERE! The Islamofascists don't give a rat's ass about your political persuasion. They exist solely for the purpose of maiming and killing in the name of their dirt worshipping prophet. They could care less what you think or say. If you're not killing in the name of...or bowing to Mecca, you are an infidel and worthy of execution.

I say that if they want to die for Allah, let's help them before they take any more innocent lives. Just be sure to soak your bombs and bullets in pig's blood so that they can't go to "paradise".

WISE, Va. | Nearly 2,000 people crowded onto a southwest Virginia fairgrounds Friday and waited hours to receive free dental care, eyeglasses and medical procedures.

Barbara Johnson, from Gate City, Va., reacts as Sarah Draper, East Tennessee State University Audiology student, puts in casting material for a hearing aid at the Remote Area Medical Health Clinic at the fairgrounds in Wise, Va., Friday, July 24, 2009. The three day event provides free health care to over 3,000 patients.
Remote Area Medical founder Stan Brock said the daily limit of 1,600 patients for the three-day clinic in Wise County was reached by 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Another 200 people were admitted to the treatment area later in the morning, but several hundred more had to be turned away.

"If there's an event that more dramatically displays the need for health care, I don't know what it is," said Gov. Timothy M. Kaine, who spent an hour volunteering at a registration table Friday
