Kat, or maybe it was akabukowski, once said to me that everyone thinks their life would make a good book.
She is probably right. What do you think?
Here is your chance.
Let's all tell stories from our experiences as we traveled through time.
Ahh, but there has to be rules. They will be pretty loose, but rules there must be.
1. It can be any experience that you want to tell us about.
2. It can be as short as one line. Or as long as fifty. Anything over thirty will be deleted.
3.You do not have to end the story at fiftyy lines, but you have to quit writing at the end of fiftyy lines. You can not post again until at least one other person has posted something.
This ensures that everyone gets a chance.
4.You can continue on the same subject or jump to a new one.
5. Nothing is required to be in chronological order.
6. Very Graphic Sexual discriptions should be posted in the sex talk group. You can direct us to go there if we want to read about it.
7. No one will be checking the facts
8. Additional rules will be posted and implemented as I see fit.
Step right up and post. who knows, the next knock on your door may be Spielberg asking for the movie rights.
The only one of my high school reunions I attended was the 25th. Although I had a pretty good time, its not really my thing, and I told my buddies that I only go to reunions whose number is divisible by 25, and thus I wouldn't be going again 'til the 50th. I'm regularly reminded of my statement, and HOLY CRAP.......the fiftieth is only 4 years away now! When I made my statement, back in 1990, I'd neglected to consider that time really flies when you're old!
I hope they don't hold me to attending the 75 because of my rash proclaimation!
This was the first reunion for me also. A lot of us had such a great time we plan to make it a yearly event - maybe just an informal picnic or trip to the race track.
I ended up tied for the award for most tattoos with the class live wire. I needed to peek down her shirt to verify she was telling the truth. Her husband wasn't there so no harm done.
"Now everyone tends to sit around and talk about their ailments."
Organ recital..been there..:-D
I am not sure if I am doing this right.
Grew up very poor with 7 siblings. Father who drank to much and Mother who was to busy.
Ended up getting into trouble later in life cause of problems at home and ended up living with my older sister. It was that or a girls home. I was really a mean kid. Had a chip on my shoulders I did.
Took a lot to get me over it. I think my kids is what did it.
Well it is a long story. If you have any questions just ask. Or if I did this wrong just delete if you like. I haven't been here in a long while.
I came to the conclusion a long time ago that what is past is past. There is no way to change it so why worry about it. Life is a big crap shoot. Some people are lucky at it others are not. That does not mean that you don't carry with you the memory of what has happened to you, It just means that you should take what comes, try to enjoy the good and shrug off the bad. Tasking this workkamper gig has caused me to understand somewhat, just how driven I was in all those career positions I previously had. I absolutly hate making mistakes. I know that that comes from never being able to do things well enough to get praise from my dad.
I used to wonder why I always ended up being in charge. I now know that even though I didn't Like being in charge, it beats the hell out of having to try to please someone else.
So now I take no responsibility. i take no initiative. I always ask what and how they want it done.
Operating that way doesn't take away ALL the stress. But it sure does make life a lot easier to enjoy.
