I recently re-read a biography of one of my favorite historical designers, William Morris. The first time I read it, I was amazed at the influences that shaped his work, and the overarching theme that defined why he did what he did.

Biographies can sometimes tell much more than you expected to learn about someone. What's the most interesting biography you've read? Is there someone you'd like to read about? Have you ever written your memoirs?

I have never written my memoirs. It would probably be kind of boring for most people, and I don't really know how to write memoirs anyway. I generally don't read biographies. I still have my sis's autobiography of Christopher Reeve, written when he was still alive; still haven't read it.

The closest thing to memoris is the humor book I was writing, when the old computer went down. That book was funnier than heck.
You should think about getting back to it. Is there any way to find it again?
hello kainsworth, long time no see, glad to see you here, my memoirs would be the same as any run of the mill alcoholic, different stories and people and places but the end results were the same. the last biography i read was in high school and thats a lot of grey matter over the dam, since then, maybe i should start reading more.
Holy moly! It's great to see you. I hope all is well in your world. I think your stories would be wonderful not only for yourself, but for other people. Especially with the background of your beautiful land. Peace, dear.
I have a few friends who keep bugging me to write my memoirs. But I'm too busy trying to find that perfect picnic spot and chasing women.(:>) Last Biography read was TR. I still think he was the greatest President we have ever had.
I'd probably read the biographies of all who signed our Declaration of Independence.
The last biography I read was the autobiography of Joe Biden. It is truly an amazing story and reads like a novel. For him to be where he is after all he went through is unbelievable. The best biography I ever read was Jimmy Buffet. I just wanted to do all of the things he did but I never had the courage.
I think one of the best ever for me was A Scandalous Life: A Biography of Jane Digby

Most recently I've read Julia Child's memoir, My Life in France. Fascinating details on her life and all the work behind her books.

I can't imagine my life fascinating the general public.
I'm fascinated Chez. One down and several billion to go. Hey, it's a start.

Were the rest of you as scared as I was when you saw this title? I thought I was going to have to read Kate's whole life story.
LOL Larry! I wouldn't do that to my worst enemy. Nobody needs to hear that.
lol Kate.
Kate has a very interesting life story I am sure. I would read it.
