I give up.
It's just not working out. Every time I pull up to a 4-way stop at the same time as another driver, the result is the same. These other drivers, if on my right, never just go on. They all just sit there. Finally I give up and just go on through.
Same thing with reading aloud to grandchildren, and then shooing them out to play, slathered in sunscreen. I even leave the hose connected so the little tykes can get some water. Problem is, the other kids in the neighborhood are lying on the couch, pounding 32 oz. Cokes and cramming carbs in their pizza-holes like Jessica Simpson in a Keebler factory. I tried to get the other grandparents interested in some outings to the park. Ha! Fat chance (literally).
What have you given up on ?

I gave up on my gasoline powered weed-eater and bought a cordless one. I haven't tried it out yet, I hope I made the right decision because, as of last Nov., the old one was still working. The 2 cycle gasoline can is empty, I'd have to dig out the manual to get the correct mixture. It's hard to start, I have to rewind line onto the spool. I gave up.

Larry, Your Gasoline powered weed-eater had a cord attached to it? Was that so you could find your way back to the couch? Maybe you could sell it on e-bay Some senile 70 something year old could use it.
