Devistating floods in her home town The gov. of NY has declared her area a disaster area. Any ideas how we can help? Kittycat and I are close enough that we can drive up there to help. Hopefully I'll hear from her later.
I texted 1GL this morning and said we all missed her and worried about her. She knows I don't text and never texted before. She texted back and accused me of trying to kill her. lol. She said she would call later. I'll post here as soon as I hear from her. I'll let her know that we all want to help if we can.
Heard from 1GL, she's in good spirits and still working. A client of hers lent her a car. Her landlord is in Europe, his brother hired a novice who couldn't do much, the entire basement was flooded along with the floor of her apt. She's staying at her bf's dad's farm, they're moving her belongings out (I believe to the farm). She doesn't think she'll be able to live in her apt. after being there 11 years. New York's blind gov. visited the area to "SEE" the damage (she's still got that humor) lol. The national guard is there, They're not sure if FEMA will do anything to help the residents, it depends on the assessed damage, if the dollar amount is high enough. Bureaucratic bullshit.
She misses us. She has access to internet now and hoping to find the time to visit with us, possibly this evening. I told her how anxious her tbd friends were to help in any way possible, she was very touched and said she would let us know if there was anything we could do.
It's going from bad to worse, just got a text that her bf's dad passed out and had to go to a hospital out of town because they had to close the hospital in town. His dad has a defib and pacemaker. Before my 15 minutes expired I received another text saying he is ok. Whew! By the way, the first text was a few hours old, sorry.

Where will this contest be held? I would really like to see it. Maybe someone who knows computers much better than me could do a web cast. I would make a donation.
