TBD

TBD on Ning

I joined the "old" tbd right before it shut down.  I've read plenty of discussions about what people miss and about all of the "fun" people who are no longer here.  So, being a glass half full kind of gal, I'm wondering what is right with this site?  I can think of many things.  I've actually stayed much longer than I expected and have made some wonderful friends.  Share please.

I'll go first. I found them pretty late but I love the word games. It's a refreshing little break and makes me concentrate on something different for a few moments. Thanks Taylor, for starting them.
Wow, you're welcome, rosiebabie! I'm glad you're enjoying them - play on!

I admit I'm one of the one's who grieves the loss of the original tbd, so thanks for casting this refreshing perspective on tbd ning. Two things come to mind right off for me (besides the Word Games '-) -
First, I'm so glad a new place was created so that we can all still gather & socialize! That's really my favorite part of both sites. And second is Angharad's Haiku group.
Many of the friends I made at the old tbd are here at the sequel. That makes it right for me.
It's a good place with good people...for the most part. The original TBD was easier to navigate, sequintutial posting was easier and one could follow an individual there...here you can only follow groups. Plus if you want notifications here you get'em in emails instead of your home page. That can be a pain.
I'm here for the FUN, as well as I was at the original TBD.
lower case kevin is one of my FUN friends.
I deleted my thread about this.

Ok Leaders, what next?
I just posted asking about this email, which I didn't get, asked in QA if they could post the email. Did anyone confirm with Robin or is this just someone playing games.
I just checked the post on Q & A. As far as I can thell, there is only one member, (author of the post) that has received this message. Curiious that someone with a total of 7 post to discussions would be the only one with this information. Not saying it is true or not, just thinking there should be more confirmation before we get all riled up.
I got that e-mail, too.

Hmmm. A couple days after the Supreme Court says that the FCC has no regulatory power over IP's, allowing them to "tier" service - and suddenly free things start costing money. How 'bout that?
Ok, Just wanted to let everybody know. There is a link on Q & A that says this is going to happen, and I just recieved a PM with a link to a different site confirming that this is a real deal. Looks like we are going to have to pay to play.
I've heard from several people that their favorite thing about the "new" tbd is that I hardly ever post anything here any more. It's not like the old tbd, or even the early phases of the new tbd, when I went around calling everyone silly names.
