I hear them whisper ''here she goes, she's off with the faeries again"

Hullo there all you would be-if you could be faeries, pixies, gnomes, goblins and elves,
that like to stay and play a while in our wonderful fantasy realm, where, just like children,
we don't need any excuses to join in and simply enjoy re-visiting our childhood days.

I understand that it does us a great deal of good to take a break from our on-going
busy lives and set aside a little time to `get in touch with our inner child',
for this is where we are able to access our Alpha mind state again,
just as we used to daily, up 'til we started growing out of it around the age of ten.

My friend Tina Volk has kindly agreed to assist me with content here,
in a very similar way we did in a Discussion called `Our Get-A-Way Gazebo'
that can be found in Mary Snowden's Group called `Spirituality and Consciousness'
here on TBD.

I heartily encourage folk who would like to join in and post their pictures, comments
and/or replies when they are happy to, and above all to have fun and simply ENJOY!

Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
~William Butler Yeats, "The Stolen Child"

This is a work of fiction. All the characters in it, human and otherwise, are imaginary, excepting only certain of the fairy folk, whom it might be unwise to offend by casting doubts on their existence. Or lack thereof. ~Neil Gaiman

Thank you so much for bringing my attention back to this, Ozzie! And thank you, Tina. I could not get past the first 1:17 or so before because the little blonde girl with butterfly looks so much like the one I cared for until I lost her to bio mother just before she turned 5. I wrote a song about her last year called "Keep the Light in Your Eyes', but have not seen her in 4 years now. Sad, but I just watched this entire video and it reminds me from where my strength comes and helps me realize gratitude for the time we had. It made me cry, release, rejoice, and it made me want to paint again. I love it. Beautiful!
Dearest Golanv, for some reason that we are unable to fathom, until much later on
in our life's journey here, there are those among'st us that find themselves
having to undergo dark passages of time, that directly or indirectly involve
a loss of some kind, or in fact there can be many losses we have no choice
but to endure. It nearly always results in us having to get ourselves through
deep depressions or heightened anxieties, and so I say I am sorry to you,
for the bottomless emptiness you must have experienced.
Can I say to you also, that whatever time you did have with that precious one
of yours (yes, she is yours too), will never, ever be lost....
because there will always be moments in time during her life,
that her memory will flash back in time, and she will remember
all of the joy, laughter and happiness that you both had together,
you will never be totally erased from her childhood memories.
I had better stop or else it could go into pages,
I am just very happy that you have shared this personal information
with those of us that are here and even happier that you are returning
to the things that you can be passionate about.
Just before I end off here, it seems to me that the song
you mentioned you wrote titled "Keep the Light in Your Eyes',
in a subliminal way, could have been meant for YOU...
for I feel sure that you have captured that very same Light
in your eyes now, as you make your return to LOVE and living,
so let none of us waste a minute!
Thank you once again, dear Golanv.
After I posted this dear Golanv, I realised that I must explain something.
Where it is that I mentioned in brackets that `she is yours too',
she is, but of course, I also need to clarify the fact that
no parent of any kind, ever truly `owns' a child.
The Gift of a Child is something that is loaned to us,
so that the child may be nurtured in all ways that will
allow it to survive.

I treasure this Poem, it is very special to me,
(but please try and not cry - that is not what is intended.)

A CHILD LOANED

"I'll lend you for a little time
A child of Mine," He said,
"For you to love the while he lives,
And mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you, til I call him back,
Take care of him for Me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you,
And should his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories
As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.

I've looked this wide world over
In my search for teacher true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
I have selected you;

Now will you give him all your love,
Not think the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call
And take him back again?

I fancied that I heard them say,
'Dear Lord, Thy will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand'.

......Hugzzz!
Thank you so much Ozzie. The poem is beautiful too and I realize that I am lucky that she still lives, even if I worry about her with abusive parents and chaos. I know that I was selected to teach her for a while; I dreamed her before I ever saw her. So this part of the poem is a GREAT comfort to me. I have sometimes worried that she would not remember the love, security, laughter, hugs that we shared but I have to trust that she does. The night before she left for good she asked me if God would still be with her when she had to be away from me. Of course I told her, always. She was almost 5. She told me she didn't know how to talk to God and asked if I would do it for her. I did not bow my head but kept my eyes open while I gave thanks for blessings, comfort and guidance for her. When I finished she said, "Mommy, when you talk to God I can see God in your eyes." I wrote this chorus to the song then and spoke it to her.
In this night filled with smiles, when the children don't cry,
I can look in your face, and see God in your eyes.
Hold this close in your heart, through the rest of your life.
Through the troubling times, keep the Light in your eyes.
She slept and when she left the next morning the last thing I said to her was "Keep the Light in your eyes." She answered, "I will. And I will keep God in my heart." and walked away. I pray that this has been and will continue to be a comfort for her. You are so right on here, Ozzie, that it amazes me. The Light WAS in my eyes and I saw it in hers when she left. Thank you once again my Friend, for helping me to keep easing into acceptance. And I will keep the Light in my eyes. :) Love and Light to You All Ways ~ Golanv

We need to tread carefully and go quietly in the forest....
