I heard an interview today with a reporter from Mother Jones and what he was talking about should scare the bejesus out of us.
This is a group that is much like other right wing groups with the one great exception, they are armed. They are zealots much like others blaming our president for things that happened before he took office. And seem to not have a problem that the predecessor is the one who shredded the constitution. I do recomend this article.

Glenn Beck loves them. Tea Partiers court them. Congressmen listen to them. Meet the fast-growing "patriot" group that's recruiting soldiers
to resist the Obama administration.

Bull, I have real bad news for ya. Nearly all of us are armed. Try not to wet yourself.

Also, by the way Oathkeepers are not the "hub" of the anti-Obama right. They are just a welcome and well respected part of it. I don't expect you to be very knowledgable about oaths over here in left field.
Larry I don't mind. However there comes a time with an organisation to be considered a domestic terriost org.
These sound like real wing nuts and like alot of these orgs, it sounds like the leaders are using peoples fear for their own purposes. This could very easily become an outlaw org and people will hollar about their rights but they are really just becoming criminals.
Yep, you should prolly tell Janet Napolitano about them and have her add them in with the other groups she deems as dangerous, like returning veterans, tax protesters, prolife groups, pro second ammendment groups etc.

Larry, that makes me feel better, looks like they are on it.
Lawrence, You must be really bored to wander in here. Kind of like the wanna be bad ass that wanders into a biker bar thinking he can make a bunch of biker friends and then claim that he is tough enough to hang out with The "Banditos". Usually they wake up in ER.

If you go into a biker bar on a Yamaha your ass will be grass and why would a red blooded American like you buy a bike made in Japan.
Touche!

Bravo Pickle :-)
I don't spend much time in bars of any kind pickle. There arent any "biker bars" in my part of the woods, you sure you haven't been watching to much TV? As to my bike, I ride it because my 30 year old Yamaha is worth what I paid for it. Never seen a Harley that was, new or used.
"You missed the last sentence on my post. Eh? Lawrence?? A Honda was my very first motorcycle, I had a Yamaha too."

What post would that be, Ron? Near as I can tell, the above post was your first on this thread.
Kirkland is a fur piece from my neck of the woods, Pac, but I'll credit you with knowing all the biker bars from there to here.
This is one of those good and bad things all rolled into one. First I am Glad that there are those who are out there that are not afraid to question authority and are willing to challenage it when need be. Now the bad part of this is there are people who are unbalanced out there like McVeigh.
Taking guns away from the citizen of this country is not the answer either . We also have enough laws concerning guns. The problem lies in the justice system that does not prosecute criminals. There are way to many Judges that play god and think that they now best. They either slap the bad guys on the hand or let them out early. (which is one of the reasons I did not vote for Huckabee. I live in AR)
What Id like to Challenage all of you to to is go to a trial (murder or another violent crime) Really watch what goes on. Ive been to several first was when my sons murderer was on trial and when a state trooper was on trial for murder.
Its not even like it is on TV no CSI NCIS Bones. In real life although our prisons are full a good portion of the bad guys just get a shame on you and are out to hurt or murder someone else.
