We get started off with an easy one. Well....at least we can assume that it is an easy one---Tonight's game between The Steelers and The Browns should really give no major surprises--If you seen my wrap up for week 13, you would know that The Browns are the ONLY team in The AFC who is out of both thier own divisional race, and the wildcard race. So--The Steelers, (who are currently 1 game out in the wildcard race), should take it rather easily. Should...being the peculiar word here--After all-when we are talking Steelers-we are talking about a team that was beaten 1st by The Chiefs--and then last week by The Raiders. Hopefully The Steelers will pull it off. I am not sure Larry Kremis' if physical and mental health would tolerate a devastating lost to The Browns!

So what games have the most influences this week? I gotta tell you..this question was toss up--so to settle an inner conflict with myself--I am giving that status to 2 games this time around. One of the games is an Interleague game--and the other game is a divisional game. However, both games results will directly affect each other. Just bear with me--I will straighten it all out for u here.

Let's start off with the Interleague game which is the San Diego Chargers (9/3) Dallas Cowboys (8/4) game. Both teams are in 1st place in thier respected division, (with The Cowboys having the added stigma of being tied with The Eagles in that position), and both teams are only 1 game ahead of the 2nd place teams within thier division, (Giants for The Cowboys, Broncos for The Chargers) Now--while win for either team won't automatically give them a spot for the playoff...a lost for either team could be influencial as to whether they will continue to be vying for a playoff spot--or if they end up the season just fighting for a wildcard spot!!

Now the other most influential game this week will go to the Philadelphia Eagles (8/4) New York Giants (7/5) game. As mentioned with the 49ers/Cowboys game--The Eagles and The Cowboys are tied for 1st place in The NFC East--and the 2nd place team--isThe Giants! Do u now see how these 2 teams are going to affect each other? Add this to the fact that The Giants are only 1 game behind The Eagles in thier Wildcard race--(Again--if u read last week's wrap up u would know that The Cowboys edged out The Eagles in lower points allowed--and therefore The Eagles are in the wildcard race), and you have a New York Giants team who understand that this one is definitely a must win game!

Perhaps the game with the most 'do or die' influence belongs to the Denver Broncos (8/4) Indianapolis Colts (12/0) game. The Colts are already in the playoffs--but The Broncos are not--Should The Broncos somehow miraculously beat the unbeaten Colts, and should The Chargers manage to get defeated by The Cowboys--The Broncos will move up into a 1st place tie with The Chargers. If The Broncos should lose, and The Chargers should win--well then---don't count on the Broncos catching The Chargers wit 3 games left after this week is over.

The game with the most 'fit to be tied, but it might end our ride' influence will go to the Seattle Seahawks (5/7) Houston Texans (5/7). As you can see, these two teams have even records. However--this is another interleague game--and thier position in thier respected wildcard races are not the same. The Texans are only 2 games out in AFC wildcard race--while The Seahawks are 3 games out. So if Texans win or lose--with 3 games left after week 14, Texans will still be in it. However--should The Seahawk lose--they will be out of the race!!

The game with the most 'put your money where your mouth is' influence will go to the Cincinnati Bengals (9/3) Minnesota Vikings (10/2) game. You might remember taht The Vikings lost thier game against The Cardinals this pass Monday night--dropping them down to a 10 and 2 record. The Bengals however won thier last 2 games--and now stand with a respectable 9/3 record. Will the Bengals be able to break even with The Vikings--or will Favre have his groove this week--and won't let that happen???

Ok--that the best that I got for this week--and yes--this should be an exciting one!!! If you got anything u wanna add--or if u wanna give a shout oout for your team--then please do so!!

I thought I would go ahead and repost how the race for both divisionals and wildcards races are going which I typed up last week. You can see how your teams currently stand--and how important this week's game might be to them.

The Teams that are currently holding 1st place and are fighting for a playoff spot for thier respected divisions are:

The NFC--Cowboys 1game up, (Even though they are tied for first place with the Eagles--however the PA difference gives The Cowboys just enough of an edge to hold top spot. It is wierd--don't ask me--I didn't do it!), Cardinals (3 games up), Vikings (2 games up), and of course the already have a spot Saints (6 games up).

The AFC--Patriots (1 game up), Chargers (1 game up), Bengals (3 games up), and of course--the already have a spot Colts (5 games up)

Here is how the Wild card race stands:

Over in The NFC--The Eagles and The packers shares 1st place--with The Giants standing alone in 2nd place being only 1 game out. The gap between The 1st place position and last place is 7 games--which is shared by both The Buccaneers and The Rams--who both have 1/11 records.

Over in the AFC--1st place is shared by The Broncos and The Jaguars. There are 4 teams that shares 2nd place, each being only 1 game out, and they are Ravens, Dolphins, Jets, and Steelers. (See Larry--all is not lost!! Your team is still in it!)

The Colts and The Saints are the only 2 teams who have secure a spot in the play offs. Currently the following teams are still in both thier respected Divisional race--and the wildcard race (Teams who are under 4 games out in both races):

NFC: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants (1 game), Cardinals, 49ers (3 games), SeaHawks (3 games), Vikings, Packers (1 game divisional, but tied for 1st in wildcard with The Eagles).

AFC: Patriots, Dolphins (1 game), Jets (1 game), Bills (3 games), Chargers, Broncos (1 game divisional, but tied for 1st place in wildcards with The Jaguars), Bengals, Ravens (3 games).

The following teams are still in the wildcard race--but not in the divisional race--(They are more then 4 games out in the divisional race--but 4 games or less in the wild crd race.)

NFC: Bears (5 games DIV, 3 games WC), Falcons (6 games DIV, 2 games WC), Panthers (7 games DIV, 3 games WC)

AFC: Raiders (5 games DIV, 3 games WC), Chiefs (6 games DIV, 4 games WC--but I wouldn't get my hopes up UBU!), Jaguars (5 games DIV, but tied for 1st place with Broncos in WC), Titans (7 games DIV, 2 games WC), Texans (7 games DIV, 2 games WC).

The teams that are out of both races are

NFC: Redskins, Lions, Buccaneers and Rams.
AFC: Browns.
I told Larry that I'm not pulling for his team anymore but I'll retract that for tonight's game. Surely they will win this one.

I do remember years back when all the Chiefs had to do was beat the Browns to get in the playoffs. The Browns were like 3 and 12. Something like that. Chiefs lost. Ha ha ha.

Come on Steelers. You can do it.
Uhmmm...Larry??? Pal?? Buddy??? Uhhmmm...old friend, and just all around great guy? I don't know...if you are watching the game--but....wellll--uhmm......The Browns?---That 1 and 11 team???--Welll--they are beating the...Ok--let me go slow with this--ok--The Browns are beating---The Stealers--13 zip---and it's half time!

Larry????
Ok Larry--This should take some of the shock off of u---The Steelers just got a field goal--So it is 13-3 Browns. that is a little better--right?
Say it ain't so. I gotta go look.
It is so--and it still is so with about 3 and change left in the 3rd quarter!
No wonder Larry's not about. You think he's on his third six-pack by now?
Oh man. I can't believe it.
OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!

THE BROWNS JUST BEAT THE STEALERS!!!! THE FREAKING USE TO BE 1/11 BROWNS ARE NOW 2 AND 11 BECAUSE THEY JUST BEATEN THE 2008 SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS STEELERS BY A SCORE OF 13-6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hang on everyone---I am trying to check on the condition of our good friend Larry---by the way---just in case u are not keeping tabs---That was the Steelers' 5th consecutive lost!
LMAO The good and the bad about this game. The bad part; my NFL year is over until Sep. 2010. (I'm not much of a sports enthusiast except for the Steelers and they got a fork stuck in them tonight). The good part; my SIL is a Browns fan and he took my daughter to the game like he does every year. My daughter will be in full Steeler garb, at least now there's less chance she'll get beat up, Brown's fans can get a little rowdy.

It's been a fun rivalry for many years. According to Google Earth, I live 81.4 miles from Cle. and 72.5 miles from Pit.

Sorry I was goofing on you with the PM's HEART, lol, I was watching on the spare tv in the computer room.
I knew u were!===sort of!
