Peculiar Things I've Eaten

There are food clubs where people eat scorpians, ants, and of course, our personal favorite, roaches. I rather suspect they get more press than they actually eat. Whats the most peculiar thing you ever ate. Once, when I was a kid, I ate a worm (on a bet with my brother), snake, goat (which at the time seemed peculiar), a (calf) brain, kidneys (yuk).,.. Now, I think I'd take whatever I had the opportunity to get. What about you.

Fry up anything...it can't be all bad. Throw some salt on it and maybe some ketchup or ranch...I'm good. Not sure about the brain stuff, although I've heard it's rather creamy...The penis thing I'm definitely not sure about...not everything is meant to be eaten..just saying.

Some weeds are edible, I think it's called sorel. has a sweet sour taste.We had tons of wild strawberries growing in our back yard as kids and I didn't know that they were safe to eat.

I eat all of that stuff...or make wine out of it. If the wine is lousy, which is usually, it can be distilled.

Jackie,being a bear of very few brains, I'm not sure what you're asking. As a kid , I was into reading books about getting by in the woods. And living off the land. I have a patch of fiddlehead ferns growing in my backyard. I can ship you some in the spring , we can swap for some dandilion wine.

If you ever get a chance to eat moose/don't pass that up. It is fantastic!

And my mom used to dye a batch of Easter eggs brown with onion skins.

Moose is great, so is elk, but my favorite is venison. I suppose I'd eat the dog, if Tom would just wash it.
