Snowed in the northern part of the state yesterday a little. Had a little snow on things this morning but it melted off quickly. Supposed to be 33F here in North Central Wisconsin tonight and 28F tomorrow night. It is a little subjective but I would say peak leaf color was about September 22 but the wind and rain has taken most of the leaves off already. The leaf color determination is somewhat subjective depending on how much red, orange, green, etc. one wants in the mix.
It is chilly tonight. Right now it's 53. Today was a beautiful day when the sun was out--68. I have the heat on now just to take the chill out of the house. I am happy I don't live where Shadowman lives. I do not want to see snow for a long long time. Some of my flowers are still blooming weakly.
well we got our first cold front of the fall today .. it was about 65 this mornin at 6am .. thats the coldest its been down here since ... hmmm .. i dunno .. i don't remember .. maybe march?? it'll hit 87 today tho which is kinda like a break for us .. we been in the low 90's everyday since may .. if it didn't rain just a little every dammed day we might hit 100 .. but we're commin to the end of the rainy season now .. till the end of oct, we'll probably be in the upper 80's most of the days .. and that does make a difference after its in the 90's all the time .. no leaves fallin tho .. still pretty green down here ..
It was 41* when I got up this morning and it might have made it to about 51 a bit ago but that's the high for the day. Rained yesterday and it's been pretty windy too. They're calling for more rain tomorrow and Tuesday so guess I'll have no choice but get to cleaning more cupboards etc. Lucky me... LOL
looks like shadow wins this one .. if bein the coldest is actually winnin ??
I'm guessing you don't live in Jersey. IN NJ and NY we say "cabinets;" the rest of the country says "cupboards."
I have two cupboards . My Cabinets are mounted on wall in my kitchen and 2 mounted on my back porch , there's a difference .....Ya Know
