Welcome to the world of sha'aria law, where women are to blame for enticing me. And men are not unable to resist when a woman dresses or acts outside of conformity with Islamic law. Which includes being unescorted by a male family membe outside her home. In other words, leave your home alone, a man sees you and is automatically enticed to have sex with you, so it's your fault. nd those laws are spreading in the grounds of religious freedom I. Liberal western countries.

not the whole world .. just the part thats under sharia law .. but then if you read the responses a little further down there is a guy from the usa who is sayin that we're just as bad when it comes to men .. in other words we have no laws to protect men from women who rape them .. hmmm?? is this really a problem in this country ?? i mean , where do i go and hang out and find these kinda women ?? how come my mom never told me about this kinda stuff ?? i feel like i've been duped all these years now .. suddenly i feel so ... dirty .. i think i need to take a shower or somethin .. i have all these images of women rapin me in my mind .. i think i'll wash my eyeballs out with soap ..

It's not just sharia law - It's ANY patriarchal religion, one that blames women for everything that men do . (Eve and the apple ring any bells ?)
What happened to this woman is no different from what Texas conservatives would like to enact into law...And let's not forget the recent cases of elite colleges trying to punish the female students who reported rapes committed by students with powerful connections - I believe "Legacies" is the favorite whitewash terminology.
Don't kid yourselves - This is not just a muslim problem; It's rumbling and slithering around in America's redneck backwaters - Except they use Jesus himself, instead of allah, as their excuse.

I'm going to skip over this one and move onto the next. On account of I always thought it was the PC view that women have rights. That women should be involved with making laws that concern them. All that good stuff. I'm just going to say that I couldn't whole heartedly be in more complete disagreement with your opinion.

Marte Dalelv was pardoned by the United Arab Emirates on Monday. The Norwegian claimed she was raped in March by a co-worker, but was charged with having sex outside marriage after going to the police.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- A Norwegian woman at the center of a Dubai rape claim dispute said Sunday that officials have dropped her 16-month sentence for having sex outside marriage and she is free to leave the country.
"I am very, very happy," Marte Deborah Dalelv told The Associated Press. "I am overjoyed."
The sentence against the 24-year-old Dalelv last week stirred widespread outrage in the West and highlighted the frequent clash between Dubai's Western-friendly image and its Islamic-based legal codes.
