I would think the officers should be arrested and tried for murder. Things like this are way too common.

yeah i think there's a sharp edge on things these days .. maybe it was always this sharp but we just didn't know because the news was so slow goin from place to place ?? now somethin happens in oklahoma and we know about it in florida , new york and california in 2 minutes or less .. its on youtube in 15 minutes .. and it goes viral in a few hours .. not too long ago there was a kid who had his laptop stolen so to get the police's attention he called 911 and said he was robbed at gunpoint so the cops went after the laptop nabber and shot him in an alley or somethin like that .. turns out the guy wasn't armed and they wanted to press charges against the caller for falisfyin his info on the call .. he just wanted his laptop back and didn't think they would give him any play unless he said they had a gun which in fact it did get him imediate attention .. in this case the hose does look like a gun and it was called in that way cause thats what the guy thought he saw .. i hope the cops have it on video that the guy took that stance like he was gonna shoot like they said he did . it don't exonerate them but it makes it easier to understand how this could happen .. its a crazy world out there ..

It's ridiculous for the police not to have asked for him to drop what he was holding. Very cowardly to shoot first and ask questions later. If they want the job at least be brave enough to do it.

My late husband was stabbed through his collarbone on a "routine" traffic stop for an out of date tag. Another officer I knew personally was shot and killed on another "routine" traffic stop. Hindsight is 20/20 and it's easy to be a Minday morning quarterback, but when you are out in on the street and you know you could be stabbed or shot in the time it takes to draw a breath, it is easy to make a mistake. U am very sorry for the person who was shot but to say the officers are cowardly to shot first .... Too many officers have taken that stance and their families have been left behind to mourn their loss.
