might as well post this .. but .. try to be nice ok..

well just my 2 cents here .. i think we're all entitled to our opinions .. but facts are facts and nobody is entitled to their own facts if they're not facts .. you can like a politician or dislike him .. sometimes you might like him for what you think he stands for only to have been duped .. its happened before and it will happen again .. when john kennedy ran for president he was addressin a fund raiser by the league of women voters and he started off by askin how many of you here would like your son to grow up to be president ?? and they all raised their hands .. then he asked how many of you would like your son to grow up and be a politician and only one woman in the back raised her hand .. he looked at her and said your son madam has about the best chance .. basicly what he was sayin was politicians are not all that well respected .. revered somewhere between a lawyer and a skunk if i had to give em some kind of rating .. and this was back in 1960 .. its not like they've come up a few notches since then is it ?? so now i'll ask a simple question .. what did george bush do to garner the respect of anyone here in this group ?? no name callin .. just the cold hard facts .. what did his presidency accomplish that you could honestly say good job george ?? and i'm not pickin just one president .. we can go all the way back to fdr if you want .. but for now lets start with g.w and we'll go from there ..but lets try to stick to the facts and no name callin ok.. lets try and do this the civilized way ..

I thought John Kennedy would have done much for our country . I kinda liked Bill Clinton too a degree . Didn't like the Monica part . The old man Bush i liked very well . Read Barbara's book and learned a lot why i liked him . Too me Reagan was a hero of sort , the way he put words . Now George Bush . Well i had respect for him . As for Obumma i dislike him . He just not right in my view for the country . I will re-access at the end of his term in office . Right now i am kinda pissed at the Republican party for what it has come too . What will the future become .? Probably more of the get nothing done on both sides .

well what i was askin was somethin that g.w. did that you could say it was actually worthwhile and good for the country .. we can get to the other presidents one at a time .. but for now someone tell me somethin that g.w. did that you can say benefitted the usa ..

funny....not a fact in sight there...

Where?

Getting back to Wayne's reply.......and making a seamless transition to a recent post of Waynes.......that Monica part involved my favorite position....and that's a fact!

Was my Favorite too . Just wasn't to kid friendly ...

Clearly Bush's adverse impact on the environment outweighed any good he did. But he did while trying ineptly to create a legacy other than death, destruction and decline create some Marine Santuaries.  So he did some good.

I cannot comment on Bill Clinton's non job performance but give him the highest ratings for on the job performance of any modern president with it being too early to factor in President Obama.  It is the on the job performance that counts for the Nation. I used to argue that Reagan was the worst, but then "Dubya" came in and grabbed the Title (with some help from Cheney). There are always issue with even the ones a person likes.  For me with Clinton it was the Kenniwick Man fiasco and the Department of the Interior.  As usual in the world it was politics.

Shadowman, for probably the first time I am going to disagree with you. I still think Reagan was worse than Bush II. He started the whole process that lead to the mess we currently have. Just look who the Tea Party idolizes.

I can't think of one thing Bush did that was good for the USA, sorry. He was horrible.

Wayne with all that crude stuff you post I thought the only thing you would like about Clinton is the sex stuff.

Clinton had a way of speaking that i liked in him ...

To be honest, I knew SO little about politics until I started working with old people about 4 years ago. They ALL seem to be intensely involved with them and they have some very profound insights.  One of my old ladies was former secretary to Al Gore and she had met quite a few presidents in her lifetime. (and she told me what she thought of ALL of them. SHe even said Bill Clinton was a very nice man but like many men, he just had trouble keeping his zipper closed....LMAO)

MY opinion with every president is THIS....when a president or politician is presented with an issue, a possible change in laws, or a major world disaster, there's not this ONE guy saying, "OK, THIS is what *I* am going to DO."  He presents these issues to LOTS AND LOTS of people and they tell lots and lots of OTHER people and so on until there are a WAY TOO MANY "cooks in the kitchen", so to speak.  I simply DONT think any ONE man is responsible for what goes wrong in the country or in the whole world. HE has many things to consider. Many PRE-DECISIONS to make before the final one is issued. Where a million people think an issue is important, there are a million MORE who think it is NOT.
