How is your Spring looking so far?

In my area (No CA) it will reach 80' today,  the week looks good, mid 70's.  The birds are chirping, the blooms are blooming and I am lovin' it...

Suppose to get near 90 today, which is too hot for my taste. But I have  4 pineapples growing and a couple of key limes too.

The last few days have been great, dang it. I've been out catching up on things I didn't really want to do (I'm wore out), but needed doing before it gets too hot. At my discretion. 

Tomorrow, storms with severe weather alerts. Springtime in the south.

Here in the heart of the heart of the land as Aldo Leopold used to call it we had some freezing rain last night that turned to snow. It ended up with about three inchs of snow in my area and a wild prediction of 6 inches more or less tomorrow. It is just about 32F now with a little sun trying to penetrate an overcast sky. I will put off predictions of Spring until next week.  Due to the ice crust and snow cover the birds went wild when I put some black sunflower seeds out in the feeding area this morning. I counted everthing from Yellow Finchs to Red-Wing Blackbirds, Mourning Doves, various woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees, juncos, bluejays, a pine siskel or something, and more.

Got the beefsteak tomatoes started. And just planted some heirloom onions that are supposed to have a great flavor.

Still no Spring here. I had a couple of Beef Steak Tomatoes started (inside of course)  but they died after coming up about an inch. I have a couple of small pepper plants about an inch or two that are struggling and a few other items bunched up on the window sill. We had some thawing part of yesterday but a good refreeze last night. Now at noon it has warmed up to 36F. Forecast says rain and snow with some hope for getting into the 40s this coming weekend. Much whining here about the cold and snow. When that ceases people will commence whining about the mosquitoes and wood ticks.
