Joyriding mechanics do $830K worth of damage to rare Mercedes

An incredibly rare Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupé was "completely destroyed" when two knot-head mechanics decided to take it for a dangerously high-speed spin. The two (perhaps former) garage workers caused an estimated $830,000 in damages when they rolled the car in an accident outside of Stuttgart, Germany. The posted speed limit of 55 miles per hour "was not observed, obviously" an officer said and, surprisingly, there weren't any fatalities, not when the car crashed or when the garage informed the owner. This 300 SL had been one of only 1,400 such cars in existence. Make that 1,399.

$400K garage pileups like this happen when valets suck

4/16/2012

Remember in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" when Cameron doesn't want to leave his dad's Ferrari with a valet? "What's going to happen to it?" Sloane asks. "It's in a garage." THIS could happen, as a (former?) valet at Miami's appropriately named Epic Hotel illustrates. Details are scarce, but the approximately $400,000 pileup reportedly happened when a valet drove a Maserati into -- and under -- a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which crashed into a Mini Cooper and a vintage Porsche 356. Local 10 reports that "the driver of the Maserati [came] down the garage ramp too fast, lost control and drove his luxury sports car right under the SUV." Yeah, we're guessing he didn't get a tip.

I am glad my car is only worth $250,000.

that vintage Yugo?

Yes that would be it.

Oh heck, they're only cars. bwahahahahaha.

there is a musician who took a 58 beetle into a car shop and had it customized...so he went from this...to this

and to the tune of 900,000 bucks.... IQ test anyone?

I like the color.
