We're still here, we survived whatever the holidaze brought us, and we're ready for the serious part of winter, right?  Whether you love it or hate it, we'll get thru it.

Did you make any resolutions?  if you did, come back mid-January and tell us how you're doing with that!

Well, this morning we have a heavy mist. Very uncomfortable. Means that a jacket is necessary. Unless you want to carry an umbrella, or get wet. Since the temp is still in the high 60s it is either get wet from rain, without a jacket, or get wet from sweat, with a jacket. Had to towel Happy off when we got back to the RV.

I am writing this just to let you all know that those of us who are retired and live in RVs suffer also.

RRC I second, and third Lynns mention of al-anon.  It would be perfect for her, a great support system, and a new found way of life.  The twelve steps saved my life nearly 25 years ago, when I joined AA.  That was Feb 25th,  The twelve steps led me to an entirely new way of thinking, a career I love and a life that is wonderful.

This slump time for me, can feel myself slipping out of it now, hope to begin writing again soon, has been a very dry few years and tis time for it to be over

My weather is very much like yours today, Robbie.

My mood is blue & I don't want it to be! I've been struggling w/this all week. Also I've had verrry low energy. I'm sure the 2 are tied to one another. Okay - enough whining! Good to see you guys! Hope you all have a lovely Saturday.

looks like maybe Richard got a bit more snow overnight?  we did, here in the Valley, and plenty of ice too, but it was gone by time i got up (night owl that i am!)  just rain and heavy fog now, but that's s'posed to last all day.

Thalia, it's been 25 years next month?  good for you! and yes, i sorta' figured you'd climb on my 12-step bandwagon -- i checked to see whether RRC got here after you (yes), because i couldn't believe you didn't say it first!  glad your gloomy whatever-it-is is moving off to the side, i hope it vanishes quickly!

d's girl!  wow, great to see you here, thanks for stopping by.  no surprise about your mood and energy being low -- this is the time of year for it, it's practically an epidemic!  the short daylight hours take a toll on many of us, myself included.  even if i were a cold weather fan (and i'm certainly not), the lack of sun would get to me!

Robbie, i hope you're nowhere near where they had flooding near Houston, are you?

It pretty much flooded all around Houston. But I'm sitting on a Bayou less than a quarter mile from Galveston Bay and Clear Lake. The flooding that did damage was in areas that are lower than the ditches(they call them Bayous) around them. Primarily around the intersection of US-59 and TX 288.

Morning folks....thanks for all the support and advice. She has attended an AA meeting, sadly she is closing off from everyone because he is refusing treatment. She suffers from depression and this has sent her on a downward spiral. 

It is a cold morning and I need to drag my rear out of bed and get moving...and I need to refill my coffee cup. Ward is out of town so I have to get it myself. LOL
