TBD

TBD on Ning

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

That's cuter than that puppy!

OH LOOK two little peapod pixies!!!!!<3<3<3

Very windy and snowing yesterday...my power went out at 3:30PM, and was restored at 11:30PM.

I took quite a few naps during that eight hours.

Every time the power goes out, I vow to look into getting a generator.  those thoughts quickly dissipate when the heat and lights come back on.  Twenty years I've been putting up with it, why change now?

Today the roads were fairly slick on the 35 mile drive to work.  Some folks were driving only 20 MPH, which was about 25 MPH slower than they could have gone.  I expect that most of those slow drivers were seniors on their way to doctor appointments....they like to see the doctor early so it doesn't break up the day, I guess.  I know we commuters are honored to share these icy two lane roads with 'em.

Yes, I was being facetious.

I don't really have room for a wood stove, DD.  I just go into the "No Power" mode when the lights go out.  The worst its ever been was out for three days, years ago.  I took my perishable food to my parents house, and used their facilities 'til my power came back on.  I always sleep at my house when the power is out, though.  I like to keep the home fires burning, so to speak.  ;-0

My house was built using a generator for power.  I lived in it for six weeks, during September and October, without power, waiting for the power company to come and put up poles and lines about a half of a city block to the nearest existing feed.  Now that was a cold and clammy existence.

Hahaha

When I worked outside the home I used to complain about the retirees and the stay at home Moms that chose to go out to lunch or to run errands at noon, they have all day for petes sake! Give the rest of us some breathing room.

The Leelanau is packed with seniors, Q.  Which reminds me, I have lunch with the Retired Teachers' Group today, and I'm pretty sure the restaurant we meet at has started closing on Wednesdays.  I may have more to relate on this later.  I notified the retiree who makes all the reminder calls...we'll see what happens.  I foresee a lot of bumbling and indecision coming up.  ;-0

I have a "Nook" w/a gazillion books on it ready for me to read.

I gave it to Cowboy about a hour ago.....he's not reading anything but uttering the occasional $#%%% playing "Angry Birds".

What's wrong w/this picture?

You should be playing angry bird instead of Cowboy. It is your Nook.

I'm in Brimingham tonight. It's nice and warm here in the motel.

When he goes blind, it'll be mine....:-)

Here you go, Sugar. I'm through with it now.

Thank you.....:-)

Taking a long time to "add reply"s.
Don't know if it's me or if it's Ning???

Calling it a night...
