STATUS UPDATE

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

 

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

I'm sitting in a hospital waiting room in Birmingham, AL, sitting vigil as my dad heads into open heart surgery- a quadruple bypass & an arterial valve replacement. Your thoughts & prayers will be appreciated. Thanks, guys. xox

Deez, Hope all went well for your dad. I figured last night that you were on your way over there.

I'm still out at the Lake, will be heading through Birmingham to Meridian, MS tomorrow.

Thank you all so much for all your support. Dad came through the surgery successfully - 5 bypasses instead of the anticipated quadruple bypass & an arterial valve replacement. He was awake & alert & talking w/in hours of the surgery - amazing, I think, for an 80 year old!

 

I appreciate you guys very much - you're good friends.

 

Robbie, I'm going to call you now to see when you're coming thru Birmingham. Maybe we can meet up for coffee. And I can finally meet Happy! I could use a dog fix right now!
