Signs, signs, everywhere there's signs...

I took the first 2 pics of my Sweetie, about 30 years ago. We were on vacation in Colorado, and made a day trip to the Royal Gorge. The signs were about 15 feet apart. The 3rd pic is a stock photo I found on the net to give you some perspective. This was the world's highest suspension bridge from when it was built in 1929 until it was surpassed in 2003 by a bridge in China.

I've been across that bridge twice. But, that was ong ago. Two years ago we drove to the bridge. They wanted somewhere around $40 to cross it. We took the road around it.

BTW, You sweetie still looks pretty damn good.

Our babysitter and her husband took us kids there when I was probably 6 or 7. Once across the bridge, there was a souvenir stand, and not much else, except for a retaining wall right at the edge of the cliff. For some reason, our babysitters husband picked me up, and held me out over the retaining wall and dangled me there. Scared the crap outta me!!!

 

And yes Robbie, she does.
