I just want to puke when I hear all these glowing tributes from just about everyone wanting to deify Reagan. He was a despicable human being - broke up labor unions, lowered taxes for the rich, made the US the leading debtor nation from being the leading creditor nation, removed Saddam Hussein from a suspected terrorist list so the US could sell him weapons ( replaced him with Cuba - the country that has been the target of most terrorist attacks ), abetted South Africa in its slaughter of 1.5 million blacks, propped up vicious South American dictators, voted the most hated president ahead of Nixon. But I suppose if you hit people over the head enough times, they'll believe anything.

Well said funes. I firmly believe that the election of Reagan in 1980 marked the beginning of the end of the United States as we have known it. You left out his beginning the attack on public education which continues to this day. That in my opinion is the worst thing he did to this country's future.
