TBD

TBD on Ning

It's Friday.

Chucks is gone and so is his Q&A Group. As JayLee feared so are the Vibes. Since there is no Question and answer group there appears to be no check in.

So Let's do it over here. It's the start of the weekend! Time to have fun.

There is all kinds of bad news.

1. Looks like tbd is splintering.

2. After two days the TBD Stalwarts has only 7 members.

3. The Stock Market tanked yesterday.

4. The end of the world is near.

5. The Zombies are still here

Everybody check in and give me some good news.

omg! I do NOT miss snow or snow shoveling & blowing!!
Ooohhh, Beth, every time I see Mrs Pennypacker I just want to bury my fingers in that gorgeous fur. Give her a special snuggle from TBD for us, please.

We had a few inches of snow yesterday, but I told it to go away and it did. Heh. I rake my leaves off the driveway and leave them under the two linden trees - nothing else grows there anyway, and they stay healthier that way. By the end of spring, the worms have cleaned up most of it. Out in the garden, the mower seems to pick up everything well enough that I only need to rake a little under the walnut - those are big leaves. It all gets composted.
Chez I will pet Mrs.Pennypacker for you. She likes being petted.
She has been on best behavior, she knows Xmas is coming and is dreaming of catnip and fuzzy balls.

That is a good idea. The leaves do help the mulch. But too many on the crabgrass
here kills it. So I got to rake them up, though in Summer it is very shady and the birds and squirrels like the trees.
I didn't know it snowed in France?
How did the Impressionists Artists paint outside in France if it snowed?
The oil paint would be to cold hard to work with?
that could very well be.
But the oil paint wouldn't paint right in cold, rain or snow.
Maybe they drew the Pictures outside and went back inside home/studio to paint.
It is hard to paint inside, have to be careful not to use the beer/booze to clean paint brushes and not to drink the turpentine that is used to clean paint brushes.
I think you're right, most winter pictures are painted in oils - they may have made the sketch outside, then painted while looking out the window.

France is as big as Texas, so we have a variety of climates, from the Alps and the Pyrenees - good skiing - to the Riviera. I'm in the center, and we are on the same latitude as Seattle, where I lived before. We get a fairly mild winter, but still a bit of snow - hardiness zone 8, for gardeners.
That's 2 zones warmer than where I am, here in the Pittsburgh, PA area, Chez! It would be zone 5 where my camp is in NW PA, though.

I enjoy hearing about France from someone who lives there!
Here's my snow, Goldi, taken from my upstairs window. It lasted barely two days, and it came so early my poor linden tree didn't have time to drop its leaves!

Beautiful.

Our snow turned to rain.
Mine too, Darroll.
:-D
Darroll and Chez, my snow has been blowing away every morning! We've just been getting dustings of snow every night here, no real accumulations yet. We should be getting some snow today and tonight.

Chez, I agree with darroll, your snow and view are beautiful!
Just lovely....Thanks for the peek Chez.
That looks much better than the place in France I spent 6 hours in.
