i so do understand Jolene, both my mother who is 78 and my wife mother 79 are keeping my wife and I busy, all the time, I got so that i cringe when the phone rings, My wife mother has a habit of falling out of bed around 4 am, we move her with us but she smokes with a oxgen tank, now way , my mom lived here about a week but with the kids she would rather sleep over my sisters on the couch, her house burnt down last year at this time, she had a reverseable mortage, they got the money, and the cleaning people and space rental folks got her stuff, what ever insurance is for I not sure. I know it rough for those who deal with such things, for some reason both my wife and my parents escaped such dealings ,so I getting the On the Job training.However being involved with the fathers death from cancer, one prostrate and one with colon. I really learned to lean on Christ, other wise I would be very bitter and we both know that is a waste of emotion. I pray for better days, everyday and say the rosary at least once a day and include you ,Jolene cause I really understand. and I feel we both need God real bad.
when I was in my thirties and Forties if someone would have told me, a potty mouth, self rightous Know it all , that I would need prayer in my life , my response would not be so flattering to say the least. Hang in there, and may God have Mercy on us.

Through the Passion of Christ, we will be with Our Lord and all His Love, Amen

3 John 1
1-4The Pastor, to my good friend Gaius: How truly I love you! We're the best of friends, and I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health—that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul! I was most happy when some friends arrived and brought the news that you persist in following the way of Truth. Nothing could make me happier than getting reports that my children continue diligently in the way of Truth!
Model the Good
5-8Dear friend, when you extend hospitality to Christian brothers and sisters, even when they are strangers, you make the faith visible. They've made a full report back to the church here, a message about your love. It's good work you're doing, helping these travelers on their way, hospitality worthy of God himself! They set out under the banner of the Name, and get no help from unbelievers. So they deserve any support we can give them. In providing meals and a bed, we become their companions in spreading the Truth.
9-10Earlier I wrote something along this line to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves being in charge, denigrates my counsel. If I come, you can be sure I'll hold him to account for spreading vicious rumors about us.

As if that weren't bad enough, he not only refuses hospitality to traveling Christians but tries to stop others from welcoming them. Worse yet, instead of inviting them in he throws them out.

11Friend, don't go along with evil. Model the good. The person who does good does God's work. The person who does evil falsifies God, doesn't know the first thing about God.

12Everyone has a good word for Demetrius—the Truth itself stands up for Demetrius! We concur, and you know we don't hand out endorsements lightly.

13-14I have a lot more things to tell you, but I'd rather not use pen and ink. I hope to be there soon in person and have a heart-to-heart talk.

Peace to you. The friends here say hello. Greet our friends there by name.

Today my mother goes in to get fluid removed from her lung, you know this Lord. You know she has suffered lately. I marvel in her faith. Your will be done today, if it is minor or major your will be done. Guide the minds and hands of the Dr. Hold mom tight in your arms today Lord, don't allow her to faulter. Amen

4-11God's various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:

wise counsel

clear understanding

simple trust

healing the sick

miraculous acts

proclamation

distinguishing between spirits

tongues

interpretation of tongues.

All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when.

Dear Lord lay your hands on the ill, the suffering and raise them up with wings of freedom from pain. Let their spirit fly with your love and mercy. Relieve the suffering of the chains of bondage. Give them a glimpse of the promise of spiritual healing Amen

Proverbs 3
Don't Assume You Know It All
1-2 Good friend, don't forget all I've taught you; take to heart my commands.
They'll help you live a long, long time,
a long life lived full and well.

3-4 Don't lose your grip on Love and Loyalty.
Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart.
Earn a reputation for living well
in God's eyes and the eyes of the people.

5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
don't sulk under his loving correction.
It's the child he loves that God corrects;
a father's delight is behind all this.
The Very Tree of Life
13-18 You're blessed when you meet Lady Wisdom,
when you make friends with Madame Insight.
She's worth far more than money in the bank;
her friendship is better than a big salary.
Her value exceeds all the trappings of wealth;
nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her.
With one hand she gives long life,
with the other she confers recognition.
Her manner is beautiful,
her life wonderfully complete.
She's the very Tree of Life to those who embrace her.
Hold her tight—and be blessed!

19-20 With Lady Wisdom, God formed Earth;
with Madame Insight, he raised Heaven.
They knew when to signal rivers and springs to the surface,
and dew to descend from the night skies.
Never Walk Away
21-26 Dear friend, guard Clear Thinking and Common Sense with your life;
don't for a minute lose sight of them.
They'll keep your soul alive and well,
they'll keep you fit and attractive.
You'll travel safely,
you'll neither tire nor trip.
You'll take afternoon naps without a worry,
you'll enjoy a good night's sleep.
No need to panic over alarms or surprises,
or predictions that doomsday's just around the corner,
Because God will be right there with you;
he'll keep you safe and sound.

27-29 Never walk away from someone who deserves help;
your hand is God's hand for that person.
Don't tell your neighbor "Maybe some other time"
or "Try me tomorrow"
when the money's right there in your pocket.
Don't figure ways of taking advantage of your neighbor
when he's sitting there trusting and unsuspecting.

30-32 Don't walk around with a chip on your shoulder,
always spoiling for a fight.
Don't try to be like those who shoulder their way through life.
Why be a bully?
"Why not?" you say. Because God can't stand twisted souls.
It's the straightforward who get his respect.

33-35 God's curse blights the house of the wicked,
but he blesses the home of the righteous.
He gives proud skeptics a cold shoulder,
but if you're down on your luck, he's right there to help.
Wise living gets rewarded with honor;
stupid living gets the booby prize.

Lord they say Proverbs is our road map for living. You lay out what we are to do. Let us heed your words, absorb your wisdom, lean heavy on our faith in you. And roll toward our goal to be our best. Amen

arch , a prayer of Mercy

So far this winter we have been through a few big snow storms here. They were a inconvenience to say the least,but that is all they were. I sure a few folks were hurt by them,small business definitely . When I think of what our brothers and sister are going through in Haiti,Chile and now Turkey with the earthquakes,I feel so foolish to even consider the snowstorms as something to complain about.
America is so Blessed, an occasional Hurricane, tornado and spring floods create havoc, but as a whole I can't think of anything that has had the devastation that seems to happen other parts of the world, except New Orleans, and 9/11 . We here have been Blessed and protected by God.
It concerns me though ,cause our nation is drifting from being a Christian Country, we seem to be allowing our core to be messed with. We find our school books with teaching of the Koran,which would not bother me if a major effort was not made to exclude anything Christian from them. There is a movement to eliminate circumcision ,making it illegal for young males to be circumcised . A major effort to remove any reference of God that are already in Public Places. The major move to Pro-Choice, with government supported programs . I pray our blessing are not running out, but I would understand it they did.

Let us Pray

Holy Almighty Father
You who Created us, Who makes all things possible

Have Mercy on us

You have Blessed us , made this country Possible
You have forgiven us , for we have committed many sins as a nation

Have Mercy on us

You have protected us, we have escaped so many natural disasters
We have achieved wealth, and might and have accomplishes so much
remind us that this is for Your Glory, Your desire. we are but the beneficiary

Have Mercy on us

Lord I feel this country is straying from You, Draw us in,
Make all aware that this country was founded with Your Design
That our own constitution refers to You and the basic principles of Your Word
Let us awaken ,before it is to late ,My God, My Love ,MY Father

Have Mercy on us

Through the passion and Love of Jesus Christ ,I ask these things , Amen

Romans 12
Living Sacrifices
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Let me be Lord a living sacrific to you, help me be that one conforming to your will not my own. Help me except you control my life and destiny not myself. Give strength and comfort give love and understanding, but mostly Lord give hope, because without a hope of a better tomorrow we have nothing. Amen.

Romans 5
Developing Patience
1-2By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that's not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God's grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.
3-5There's more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!

My favorite line in these verses Lord is we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God pours into our lives. We are so blessed we have so much Praise your name for taking care of us so well. Amen

Psalm 16
A David Song
1-2 Keep me safe, O God, I've run for dear life to you.
I say to God, "Be my Lord!"
Without you, nothing makes sense.

3 And these God-chosen lives all around—
what splendid friends they make!

4 Don't just go shopping for a god.
Gods are not for sale.
I swear I'll never treat god-names
like brand-names.

5-6 My choice is you, God, first and only.
And now I find I'm your choice!
You set me up with a house and yard.
And then you made me your heir!

7-8 The wise counsel God gives when I'm awake
is confirmed by my sleeping heart.
Day and night I'll stick with God;
I've got a good thing going and I'm not letting go.

9-10 I'm happy from the inside out,
and from the outside in, I'm firmly formed.
You canceled my ticket to hell—
that's not my destination!

11 Now you've got my feet on the life path,
all radiant from the shining of your face.
Ever since you took my hand,
I'm on the right way.

Wake up wake up you christian lift up your hearts and sing eternal hallelja to Jesus Christ our king. Lord yuo place daily a song in my heart a calm for me day. Praise your name. Amen
