TBD

TBD on Ning

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

13th Annual Tomball German Heritage Festival

WHEW!! Just got finished with potting a cactus. It was growing in the front yard, but started looking sickly last year. I wanted it in a pot on the patio so I could try to baby it and see it I get it healthy looking again. It started out as a house plant 10 or 12 years ago, so I want to save it if I can. Digging it up was quite a bit of work, but getting it in the pot was an ordeal. It doesn't look 4 foot 4 inches tall in this picture, but I measured it before I started digging.

Many of the spines on this thing measure 2+ inches long.

If anyone can nurse it bac to haelth it's yuo Tee!

p.s. stay away from teddy baer castus! (jumping cactus)

I hadn't heard about the teddy bear cactus DD, but after Googling it, all I can say is OUCH!

Wandering through since I am again up way to early. Sending good vibes to Leon and praying for a match. I understand completely since my life has gotten slightly crazy with Ward's diagnosis of cancer.

Praying for yall.

I will be thinking of you DD, Leon and Ward. I am very familiar with sickness in the family and know how hard it can be.

Cancer Nation is a large country....way too large. Prayers for all.

thank yuo P.A, Bob and Merry.

Prayers for all of us. We're experiencing some of this too. Waiting to hear about my sis's biopsy. It's the one I'm not talking to. I just emailed her my well wishes and I hope that she accepts them. Baggage and issues= nuthin but a ball and chain.

UPDATE>>>>>>>>>Talked to my sis, the one that's waiting for her biopsy and told her about the phone call from my children and grandchild. Apparently the little red headed two year old is a handful. My sis and I laughed so hard because she wanted more than one egg that she had decorated and they only let her have one. Looking back at that scenario I could have suggested that she sit on the egg and try to hatch it but she had a tantrum instead. 5 grown men , 4 of them Marine Corp combat veterans vs my little red headed hellian. She gave them all a run for their money. Now Liz is married to a Marine and has three sons and a step daughter and she knows what it's like to have a houseful of kids and so do I. I haven't laughed so hard in months. My grandchild is my hero. I don't want to be a bad influence when I visit so I'll have to pull a straight face out of my hat. I think I'll teach her how to wink.
