TBD

TBD on Ning

Via internet stream you can listen to a variety of interesting music.

Google WQNA to find the stream. The show is called Fear and Loathing in Springfield and it airs 6 - 9PM CST on Sunday evenings.

It may uplift the downtrodden and down trod the uplifted. Some may faint, others may experience moments of rage and in some cases hilarity.

I missed most of the show. Graduation conflicts. I was surprised to hear Zevon singing Raspberry Beret.
In honor of Memorial Day, Snagg will play three straight hours of every cover conceivably possible of "The Way We Were." A feat never attempted in the broadcast industry.........Or maybe not.

STILL better than Celine's version...
I can't say all the versions...But you might want to tune in tomorrow night.

Besides, it's The Annual Zimmy Day, in honor of Bob Dylan's birthday on Monday. Lotsa, mostly, primarily Dylan all evening - Bootlegs, alternate versions, deep tracks and little-known stuff. Tres Chic
Did Celine ever sing "The Way We Were"? Why can't Girlicious sing it the way it was written. Maybe they think the writer/composer wasn't very talented and the song needed more work. Sounded like she was crying, is that what they call "singing with emotion"?

I guess there's always somebody who thinks there's a better way.
Yes, I know this is Maya Rudolph of SNL and she was hilarious, I'm so glad she did this.

I really don't think that song has any meaning.

"Spring was never waiting for us, girl,
It ran one step ahead as we followed in the dance.
Between the parted pages and were pressed
in love' hot, fevered iron like a striped pair of pants.
MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain.
I don't think that I can take it
Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again!
Oh, no-o-o-o!
I recall the yellow cotton dress
Flowing like a wave on the ground around your knees.
The birds, like tender babies in your hands,
And the old men playing checkers by the trees
MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain.
I don't think that I can take it
Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again!
Oh, no-o-o-o!

There would be another song for me, for I will sing it
There would be another dream for me someone will bring it
I will drink the wine while it is warm and never let you catch me looking at the sun.
And after all the loves of my life
And after all the loves of my life, you'll still be the one.
I will take my life into my hands and I will use it.
I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it.
I will have the things
that I desire
And my passion flow like rivers through the sky
And after all the loves of my life
Oh, after all the loves of my life, I'll be thinking of you
And wondering - Why?

MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain.
I don't think that I can take it
Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again!
Oh, no-o-o-o!
Oh, no-o-o-o!"

I mean, WTF? It's like Rod McKuen wrote it or something.
Back in th e60s I didn't like Dillon. I would tell you why but it would have to be a blog. I do like him now and very much liked tonights playlist.
Thanks for the list, Snagg. Nice tribute. Lay, Lady, Lay is one of my favorites.

I'm sorry the Goober Peas are not fully archived on YT...or maybe not.
I'm casting a vote for the Black Keys album.
