Snagg, During my travels, I sometimes find it difficlt to make friends with the locals. Could you possibly provide me with some of your techniques for "fitting in" when in unfamiliar environments?
When I was on the road, the locals thought that I was a "G" man.
They even followed me to work.
To Robbie's post: rotfl ;-D
We all know the state rivalries, I'm just glad to have heard this one on my latest adventure.

Why hasn't Texas slid off into the ocean? Because Oklahoma sucks!
That's one of our favorites, Ubu. And there's this one......"What's the best thing to come out of Oklahoma?......Interstate 35!"
That must be a common one, Bob. I've heard the same thing about I-20 out of Alabama.
I can understand that.
Very funny, good one Robbie. We Steeler fans have asked: what's the best view of Cleveland? In your rear view mirror.
I remember ranting about this before, but sit still a minute, and I'll do it again. My guy introduced my big shepherd-grizzly bear to the shower recently, and now it's his new favorite place! He naps there, sleeps there at night, hangs out there, crumples up my bath mat & pushes it INTO the shower, leaves tufts of hair there. Yuck! Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck! :-P
One thing about living on a peninsula...you can only go south to get out. That's not taking in of course that 5mile long bridge to the UP or if you are really desperate go east and cross over to that "other country"...you know, the one that has such a 'great economy and health care'.
I've heard of that place. There's even some folks in the U.S. that rave over it....weird.
Not so weird....home is where the heart is, not so much where the mailing address is.
