Names for Drugs

Am I the only one who notices that there are 'new' drug names almost daily??  Some of them are so far out, ridiculous that it sounds like teenagers are naming them. Not to mention, if they'd stop all the TV advertising, they could cut prices! I just saw another one: Fasenra.  I don't know about everyone else, but 'I' don't tell my doctor which meds I'd like to try! I think my doctors are much more capable of choosing which one fits my symptoms.  Out of my 6 meds, only one is 'name brand'. Being elderly on a limited income, I'm happy that most of mine are generic. That one has no Generic yet, sadly.  But thankfully, the Biden Administration negotiated prices on that one down starting this year. I'm sure my insurance company appreciates that!
