*********************** FLASH ********************
They just announced we've reached 84.4" of snow so far this Yr. This just moved us into the second most snow ever received!!
Gee.............. 4" of the white stuff on the ground, and still snowing!!!
Looks like we may move from 4th place to 3rd place for the most snow in a winter (i.e. Chicago)
An intresting observation, the other day we had to travel into down town Chicago, and their snow is basically gone!!!!!! Yet you get 40 miles west, and there is still heavy snow on the ground, and huge piles up to 20 ft tall in open areas. I just wished there were more "Official" reporting stations, as the western areas and far north west have had a lot more snow than Chicago.
Now it's time for another cup of coffee, and round 2 with the snow blower!!
Cheers! - AL
****************************** SNOW *************************
Wow! Monday was wonderful!!!!
Now we are looking at 6 - 8" of the white stuff! Will start with RAIN, and change over to SNOW!!!!!
Geeeeee, time to rollover and go back to bed and hope this was a bad dream!!
Cheers!! - AL
Hi Gang!
WoW, wasn't today beautiful!!!!
Sun was out in all it's glory, it hit 51 Degrees, and the snow was melting! Except for my front yard!! - LOL. Everyone was out with out coats and even saw a few people in shorts!
Now, tomorrow will be another story!

You don't need an island, Al; just come to Georgia. We've had a week of terrific weather. It's 75 now. We finally got the plum trees sprayed Sat. - the day before they blossomed so it was close. We couldn't reach to top third of the trees so have ordered a sprayer that will reach that far for the second spraying after petal fall and hope the insects don't do too much damage & that we don't kill any bees. Got part of the garden in - peas, kale, chard, spinach - & it was a joy to be outdoors. Our armadillo trap still is empty. We see signs that they've been out but they've missed our trap even though we've moved it. Isn't spring wonderful? Keep the faith, you northerners. Spring arrives a week from Thurs.! (Which reminds me I'd better get busy with birthday presents for son & grandson on the 22!) Stay warm & safe.
Morning Buds.........
Would you believe it's going to be in the upper 50's today!!!!
Tuesday, will be in the mid 40's
Wednesday, will be 1-4" or more SNOW!!!
Ready to look at moving to the "Islands" any island - LOL
AL
Well, it's Sunday, sunny, and 30's, Monday will be in the High 50's, and Monday night will be in the 30's with 4 - 6" of SNOW!!!!!!!!!
AL
Hi Sailspinner............
LOL - I'd love 3 days without the White Stuff!!! Would love to see some rain, however the ground is frozen down 4 Ft. so any rain we have would just run off!!! So we would end up with flooding.... We just can't win!!
Cheers ! - AL
Expecting rain all day today, tonight, and tomorrow morning. We don't have to shovel rain so I'm not complaining. Surely this winter must be some sort of record cold and snow for the midwest.
I need 24 hours without rain (and a day warm enough and without wind) so I can spray the plum trees & they are getting so far along it may be too late. Oh well.
Today's headlines say it all!!
Wednesday was the 45th day this winter we have had measurable snow fall this winter!!
Anyone for a snowball fight?????
