Summer is here for a couple of days! Near 80 today and tomorrow. Nice! After a rain soaked Sunday, we deserve some warm sunny days.
Morning Chief! Sounds like you can breakout your shorts as well!!!
Ya, the weather has changed quickly within the past week! Everything is trying to dub out! However, it looks like the weeds are out in front, and gaining speed!
Our weather still is all over the place. Although our daytime temps have improved, our evening hours are still below normal, and we are experiencing a lot of overcast days! Still won't complain, as so much of our farm land is still under water!
Last yr. at this time, 54% of the corn crop was planted. This yr. it's around 1%.
Maybe spring has arrived in IL, Al. Our forecast earlier was for 80 degree weather all next week but now it's for 70s with a 60s thrown in for good measure. Not bad. My CO friend is on her way as I write and she is escaping snow so she won't mind 60 degrees at all. Everyone have a pleasant weekend.
Hi Chief!
Yup! You caught me snoozing...............
Weather has been a hand full as of late! Was up at 4:30 AM and out of the house. Temp was around 38 degrees, with areas of Rain, Snow, and Fog. All of that was within a 25 mile drive.
The day started out miserable, and cold, then the wind picked up, and it wasn't fun being outside. Then by 11 AM the sun was out and the wind died down a little! Then back home, the grand kids were over and the older one wanted to go out and play. So grandson helped grandpa plant some bulbs! What a hoot. He did enjoy the work, however was a little muddy. So we had to clean off the shoes before mom showed up! - LOL!
So from what I hear, tomorrow is suppose to be a really nice day! Only time will tell!
As a side note, it has turned out that this month has been the wettest month of April on record, and the month isn't over as yet!
Cheers! - AL
Hi and Good Evening Al!
Was a warm day here, we got up to 72!! Now it has been raining for the past few hours. It is a nice steady rain....good for the grass and flowers. Worked out in the yard, did some pruning and put down some miracle grow food for the flowers. I have a Clematis that is just starting to grow, it is such a neat time of year seeing everything coming up and starting to bloom! Love Spring!
I forgot to mention that we had frost here yesterday morning, Winter is still hanging on, why I have no idea?? I have a message for Mr. Winter...Go Away! Everyone has had it with the cold temps and snow.
As soon it starts to warm up in the North, and starts to melt the snow pack.....we should start to see allot warmer temps, hopefully!
Praying that nobody else will lose their life to the floods.
Be careful Al, hoping for the best outcome for your town and State.
Evening Gang!
Another day has passed, and nothing has changed! Although the day time temps have increased, overnight temps still are on the low side, bordering near freezing........... for another several days!
Cheers - AL
Coolish the past few days but gradually warming up and will be in the 80s by Fri. Before I forget, a friend from CO is arriving Fri to escape spring blizzards there so I probably won't be around much next week.
Hi Gang!
Today is 69 and S U N N Y, with the over night temps in the upper 40's! However, Tues and Thrs nights, mid to lower 30's with snow and rain!!!!
Cheers!! - AL
Morning Chief!
We are at 57 degrees and it's windy as hell! It's nice to be outside, but it's not fun with all the wind................. then it down to 35 degrees overnight!
Cheers! - AL
