Glad you finally are enjoying spring, Chief. Sun is in & out again here but only 10% chance of rain - that's 80% chance for dry. Enjoy.
I haven't been getting any notification/msgs. Has everyone floated away? We had torrential rain again over the weekend. Now it's cooler but at least it isn't raining & the sun comes out periodically. Looking for more rain later. The lake is higher than it's been in the 4 yrs. we've been here. Thank goodness we live on a hill WAY above any flooding. GA Power owns the lake & has been letting water out 3 spillways, which on this lake is very unusual. Hope everyone is ok.
Northern Ohio has had perfect weather, not to hot or cold. We have been in the upper 70's and low 80's. Yesterday was 82. The grass is growing very fast. Steve has not put down fertilizer yet, but I hope he will soon..the dandelions are sprouting up. There is a tree in a couple of yards from me that is so pretty. I think it is a plum flowering tree has pale pink flowers. Our peach tree is looking nice has tiny pink flowers and is just starting to get green leaves. We had lots of peaches last year, they were surprisingly very sweet.
We've had clouds, mild temps, and off and on rain for the past week. My friend just left after a week and the sun popped out. (She goes home to CO to freezing temps & snow so she didn't complain.) The garden loves it & tomorrow the last of the seedlings go in the ground. (Providing it doesn't rain - again.)
That's amazing............ I'm looking at 48 degrees, sunny sky's, and no wind! The birds are out and about, and I swear that the grass has grown 2" overnight! - LOL!!!!

I agree, the drought we've had for the past several yrs may be over!
I can tell what is happening drought wise, by what our creek does. Last yr it went dry the 1st part of June, and was dry till Jan this yr. This has never happened in the 32 yrs we've lived here!
Have friends in CO, and they are still in trouble, big time!!! While recent spring snowfall has brought some relief to some small parts of Colorado, the majority of the state is still gripped by one of the worst droughts on record.
The southeastern plains and the southwest mountains in particular have experienced a string of dry years, leaving soil moisture well below normal.
For those living in CO, statewide reservoir storage is also near historic low levels, and even with decent spring runoff in a few river basins, water managers will be scrambling to try and refill the Dillon and Green Mountain reservoirs.
This may lead to another bad fire season! Had to cancel a trip out there several yrs ago due to some major fire activity!

Morning Chief!
All I can say is W O W!
Mother Nature is not happy these days............. Glad it's you having the snow! We expect to get 4 days of rain as the storm front stalls over our area!
Temps dropping from the 60's, 70's down to the 40's today! - Bummer!!!
Cheers! AL
Yes, it was a nice day!
A few rain drops never hurt anyone! - LOL You would be surprised how nice and quiet it is outside when it rains............
Cheers! - AL
However, it looks like the end of this week it's going to start to rain, and could rain for four to five days straight! So needless to say, I'm not going to put down grass seed or fertilizer for a while!!!!!!!
It is 75 and sunny out. Winds have picked up this afternoon, I just looked and now it looks like rain tomorrow. I was hoping it was going to be dry so I can plant flowers. The end of the week sounds cold. Just when you start getting use to the warmer temps. Than the bottom falls out. I have heard so many lawnmowers today. It has been a very nice day here, pulled more weeds, was so nice to feel the warmth of the sun on my face.
Better You Than Me, My Friend!! - LOL!
The latter part of this week is again going to be rain, however, the overnight temps are going to be 43 degrees................
Ya, It's been "Nuts" to say the least! 5 AM this morning, it's misting and 30+ MPH winds, the plants really do not like that! As time passed, it warmed up, sun's out, but we have heavy winds, and makes it feel cooler than it is!
Cheers! - AL
