Hello Al, this is such weird weather, I can not believe you had FROST...I did not see any in my neighborhood. We did get cold though it got down in the low 40's. At 4:00 pm it is 57 and sunny. The cool lakes winds making it feel chilly...worked out in the garden pulling weeds and putting down preen. I tell ya I get frustrated with all these weeds...between thistles, dandelions and crabgrass. I hope this Preen does it's job. 

This Sunday we are having family from Michigan come to our house for a cook-out. Should be fairly warm and no rain....fingers crossed. 

Thanks for asking Sailspinner on how Mom is doing. She is doing a bit better. Her doctor said she may have pain for six more weeks. All in all, she is healing everyday.

Morning Sailspinner,

Well, would you believe we had FROST this AM? Yup, some of the house tops were all white..............

Looks like we are out of the rain for a while, so everyone will be able to get out in their yards and plant stuff, or cut grass......

As for the weekend, I might pull a few weeds and start to mulch. Big Box stores had sales on the stuff, so I stocked up! Like 200 bags. Price was down over a $1 a bag, so I might get some more....

Wife is resting comfortable. Have a followup appt tomorrow, so our fingers are crossed!

Spring must have arrived in Ohio for sure if Shelley is planting. Sounds like a good weekend. I've been meaning to ask, Shelly, how you mom is doing. I can't find your other email address, so send me a msge, woul you please?
Al, how's your wife. Hope she's improving, too.
We've had high 80s degree temps for several days, along with thunderstorms. Lost power for 5-6 hours the other day. Looking at a pleasant long weekend. Our oldest and his wife will be here.

Good Morning! 

Kind of a cool morning here. It is 67 and cloudy. We had some rain yesterday, we were very lucky and did not get the hail or straight line winds.  Today I will be planting a sweet red pepper and another tomatoe plant. Hopefully this year the plants will produce more vegetables. Hope everyone is doing well, have a good day.

Very nice sunny morning in the "Glass City"...had some excitement in our neighborhood last night, had a water main break.  Water was shut off for just a short time. Problem is fixed now. Right now it is 65 and cool breeze off the lake. Sailspinner, I hope your having a easier time with your new Chrome browser. You'll get the hang of it, hang in there!

Pleasant summer day here in central GA.  Light breeze, 84 right now.  Laundry dried outside nicely & I got the garden weeded.  Trying to learn to use a new browser - Chrome - and having a ______ hard time.  Maybe I'm too old to learn this new trick.  Enjoy the weekend.

Good Afternoon! It is 69 at 4:00 pm.  Sunny and breezy today, cooler than yesterday, my car read 89 degrees in the late afternoon. Of course, it was parked out in the sun. That makes a big difference. So sad about those poor Texan Folks who loss their lives in the tornados. Prayers being sent their way.

Hi Sailspinner!  My Goodness it was sure HOT for you yesterday. Our house got up to 76, but with having the oven on, did not help. Having the brick sure helps keep the house cooler.  Today is less windy, it is 64 and sunny. Taking my dog in for her haircut, we call it her spa day! LOL.  Was good sleeping weather last night, cooled down...was nice to have the windows open.  It has been rather dry for us lately. Rain coming for mid to late next week.  I have to find my sunglasses for the sunny drive to the Pet Smart.

The temp stayed near 90 yesterday so late afternoon we closed the house & turned on the a/c for a couple of hours. Probably will do the same again today.  Nights still cool - in the 60s - so we can open the house at night.  Humidity is up too so I guess we're skipping spring & going straight to summer.  Could use some of that surplus rain we had a few weeks ago but I'm watering plants from my full rain barrel.

Hi Gang!

Day started with thunder and lightning to our south! Nothing came our way!! So today was a cool day, only 85 today!  Overnight temps in the 50's.....
