Welcome home, shelly. The best part of any trip is getting home. Gld you had a good time, even if it was hot/humid.
Good Morning!!
So good to be back home!!!! Had a fabulous time in St. Pete! I forgot how HOT the sun is in the beautiful state of Florida. Took a tour of Tampa Bay on a small 13 ft. speed boat. I was so amazed to see the dolphins. We saw a pod of six. One jumped out of the water about five ft.
When we came home it was 72 and not real humid. Now our temp of 74 matches our dew point. Makes a huge difference when you have a ocean or pool to go into. Toledo did not have any bad storms, got lucky! We have a chance of T-Storms today and tomorrow than a cool down coming for the end of the week, yay!
Morning Al, Glad to hear your wife's surgery went well. You have been having a stormy pattern in your area, hope you will get a break from the heavy rain, wind and storms. Hope everyone has a great day!
We had a strong storm through last evening - very heavy rain (I bailed a good 6" out of the jon boat) and strong wind. We lost power for about 3 hrs. but no real damage. Cooled down & it was a good night to sleep with the house open. This is a monsoon season for sure.
Morning Gang!
All I can say is WoW! The last 2 days have been nothing but heavy rains, and high winds! As I type away, another storm is rolling across Southern WI.
We haven't experienced any storm damage, nor loss of power. However, our DSL service has been up and down for the past 2 days. Lawn looks like a hay field, as It hasn't been dry enough to mow!
Latest weather forecast looks like we will be experiencing daily storms thru and including Friday, with the heat going up to the high 80's and 90's!
So look out Seashelly, this mess is coming your way!
Chief, how are you doing with all this recent weather???? Hope you haven't blown away!
Cheers! - AL
70 mph winds are almost hurricane force. Wow.
As for the grass - goats will eat everything. Better go with sheep.
Dry, cool, & sunny here in GA - for now anyway.
Morning Gang!
Well, it's been a wild and windy night, last night!
We had winds in excess of 70 MPH, and 3+ inches of rain, and it's still drizzling! Walked the yard with the coffee cup early this AM, and it was a great time for pulling weeds!
Hope everyone else is staying dry today!!!
AL
I'm looking for some goats to take care of the grass! - LOL!!!
Glad you got a good report on your wife. Hope things continue to go well. Don't worry about the grass. Hay goes for a pretty good price. <grin>
Hi Sailspinner,
Sending this from the Hospital!
Temps have been running lower than normal here in N IL with a normal summer storm. Got around 1/2" of rain with some wind. But nothing out of the norm!
Chief! Thanks!!
Sorry to here that it's so hot out your way. Tomorrow it's suppose to get hot here as well! Next week is going to be a roller coaster with rain almost every day! Not good, as I need to get the grass cut! Looks like a hay field now - LOL!!!!
I'm happy to report that my other half is doing fine, and the doctor was very happy with the outcome of the surgery! So, onward and upward!!!
Cheers!!! - AL
Didn't have the a/c on all day yesterday because we had a cool breeze off the lake. Today . . . turned the a/c on about 4. No hotter but more humid. Expecting rain off & on the next 4 days but that's ok. You're hotter than we are in GA, Chief. Our top today was 82.
