Morning Sailspinner,
Sounds like good weather to have the grand kids over!
Yup, it's 59.6 degrees outside right now! A little too cool to go outside without a light weight jacket/sweater on!
Glad to hear that your garden is doing so well!
AL
Wow, Al, the furnace kicked on! Our lows are high 60s/low 70s with high humidity. Once in a while we can open the house at night, then close it up early afternoon when temps hit 90s. We've had lots of rain too with more expected off and on all week. One kid will be here all week & grandkid expected late in the week so we'll be busy kayaking & fishing between showers. The garden looks lush but isn't producing much yet other than a couple of cucumbers & one zuchinni. Maybe soon. Hope everyone has a pleasant weekend.
Good Morning Weather Buds.................
And how is the weather in your little corner of the world???
As for us, what a difference a yr makes! Last yr this time it was running in the 90's almost every day, no rain, and we were facing drought like conditions!
Fast forward a yr. The temps are running anywhere from 5 - 10 degrees or more below average, and on the precipitation front, we are over 12" above our normal rain fall. EXCEPT where your truly lives, we are a little less than that!
Had the windows open last night as it was so beautiful and cool outside, only to be woken up during the night as the furnace had turned on. This week looks like more of the same with temps in the mid 70's, and possible rain almost every day!
Cheers! - AL
Sunny and 83 at almost 2 pm. Still having the muggy and sticky conditons. Will be glad to see some less humid weather for the weekend. Good to hear the heavy rain showers missed your town Al. Lost the sun, rain must be moving closer to us. I wish everyone a great day!
Today only made it into the 70's and was overcast and HUMID............. with an occasional sun rays thru the trees!! The last round of storms the AM went north and south of us. Those communities North of us got upwards of 6 - 7 " of rain, we received less than 1/2", and south was 1-2". So once again, we dogged the bad weather!
AL
Good Morning GrandPaGardener!
We thankfully had no damage, just heavy rain and lots of lightening with some rumbles of thunder. Had a nice light show last night. Lily did pretty well with the storms. Since we live under the protective dome we were spared again...LOL!! Did you have any damage or lose power last night or this morning? The dew point is lower but it is still super muggy and the humidity level is high at 81%. Temp is around 73 and we are losing the sun, so it looks like we are going to have more RAIN. If we could only send the rain to who really needs it.
Seashelly,
Just heard of all the damage overnight in OH, how did you fair with all the bad weather????
AL
Morning Buds...............
I woke up EARLY due to rain and high winds early. Uck!! And it looks as if it will continue to be a wet and soggy day. Watch out Seashelly, it's coming your way!!
AL
HI Chief, I am having the vacation blues, missing the beach and pool a lot. Sounds like your having the Florida rain showers. I hear ya buddy, we are having a hot and steamy day. It is 88 degrees, the air keeps running and running. I sure hope it cont's to work. We are under a thunderstorm watch. Stay cool and dry!
Hi Sailspinner! Thank you, We had a four hour flight delay due to all the storms. Was so happy when we finally boarded the plane, boy did we have a hard landing..scared the ba jeepers out of me. My tomato plant finally has some yellow flowers on it. How is your garden doing? Did you lose power due to the wind or the lightening? Glad you did not have the power off for too long and did not have any damage.
