Afternoon Gang!

Well, out weather has finally warmed up to what the average temps are suppose to be for this time of yr! However, the overnight temps are way below normal, which makes for good sleeping weather.

The last several storms missed us again, they either went north or south of us and headed east! I can only assume that Seashelly got wet as a result of the storms!!! As for the East Coast, it looks as if they all should be swimming up and down all the streets out there!

Although everything looks more or less green, the creek flows are down, and some have dried up all ready........... Not good!

Cheers! - AL

Torrential rain again last night.  One son left for Indiana this morning and hasn't called so we're assuming he got off the dirt (slippery mud) road ok.  Sun is out now so maybe the wet is over for now.  Temps to be mid 80s today and very humid.

Sailspinner,

Although you lost some trees, sounds like you were lucky from 2 perspectives, One the trees missed your house, cars, etc. and only took out a fence. Second was your kids were there to help fix the fence problem.

On the down side, you were without power for only a few hours...........

Cheers! - AL

We had a rainy, stormy 4th of July.  Another pine came down across our fence and took our the neighbor's fence too this time so this morning our son spent the morning fixing the neighbor's fence while I picked up pine cones & sticks.  Then he started on our fence.  Thank goodness he was here when it happened.  The tree took out the power line and we were without power until about 1 a.m.  Our grandson from FL arrived about 3:15 a.m. so it has been eventful.  Light rain today but nothing much.  Should begin to dry up tomorrow - only 30% chance of rain so that's 70% chance of none.

Just got a weather update, this week will be in the low to mid 80's, with overnight temps in the high 60's to low 70's all week, with a few rainy days thrown in! No rain scheduled for the 4th of July!!

Morning Sailspinner!

Your not alone with the AC. We really haven't had to use it at all. There were several days where it was very humid, so we rand the AC to get it down.

It been raining so much as of late, I need to cut the grass every 3 days. Miss a day and I'm in trouble!!!!

As for recent guests, the daughter and SIL moved in last week. Will be staying with us while he works on his masters. This way they can save a little $$$ during this period of time!

Glad to hear that you didn't get Too wet, getting out of the boat - LOL!

Seashelly, Sounds like we both have the same weather as of late! Great for the pocket book as the AC isn't running. I'm just trying to keep ahead of the weeds.........

Chief, Our weather has been crazy as of late. It's so cool at night if I leave any windows open the furnace wants to run! Get up in the morning, and you need a light coat or sweater on as it's so cool outside!

Just glad all the hot weather is staying out west where it belongs....

Cheers! - AL

Hi Sailspinner!  Air is on again, so much for having the windows open. I was out late last night grocery shopping, each time I came out of the store you could feel the humidity rising. Our temps are climbing up here. Next week we are going to have a day in near 90. Glad you were able to go kayaking with your son, sounds like fun!  We are going up to Lake Somerset on Saturday, hoping the weather will be good, so we can go boating and tubing. Have a great day and have lots of fun! Happy Independence Day, Everyone!!

We've had the a/c on for a couple of days now - not for the temp so much as for humidity.  Rain off and on for several days & it looks like we're in for two days of more constant rain.  Flood warnings but we live on a hill/ridge so aren't worried about flooding.  The last of the weekend company arrives late today but we won't be spending time fishing or boating.  Yesterday our son & I took the kayaks out and I'm not even sore today.  I did fill my kayak with water when I turned it over trying to stand up to get out.  Oh well.  No harm done other than to pride and water was shallow.

Hi Al, We have been having so much rain here for the past week along with a few t-storms. It is in the mid-80's here today with some sun out.  It looks like the next week is going to be on the rainy side, oh yay! On a plus note, we have had the air turned off for the past 5 days.  Have not been working out in the garden much, hopefully I will have peppers and tomatoes soon. Peach tree is doing great, thanks to the rain. Have lots of peaches.

Hi Chief, Our winds have been on the cool side also. I needed to put a jacket a few times, unlike last summer. I remember all of us saying keep cool! Temps were so hot last year and the drought we all had to deal with.

Cheers! Michelle

Have a great 4th of July! Hope the weather cooperates if you have outdoor plans.

Then ring the bells and fire the guns

Morning Chief!

This morning the weather folks announced the "Normal" for today is "84" degrees, however, we are looking at around "72" degrees for today's high!  - That's fine by me, that means the AC doesn't have to be turned on, and less watering of my garden buddies -

As for the rest of the day and week, I don't think they have a clue as they think we could see local sperattic rain falls, with not much of accumulation! Talk about a cop-out!!! - LOL!

Sounds like another great day in the Garden Patch!

Cheers! - AL
