Hi GrandPaGardener! Yes, it is coolin off here...all the windows are closed now. This cool weather is nice for a change. I am missing the warm and humid days...I love Summer!!!! Want Summer weather back. These temps we have been having are like what we see in early October. We did not eat at the All Saints Festival, lines were too long. So we ate at Applebees...go figure! LOL!!! Next festival coming up is German American Fest....that one my husband loves....since he is German. Enjoy your evening, Al. Hope everyone else has a relaxing evening too!
Hi Seashelly,
Yup, looks like Sunday has been cool all around! Great that you were able to get out and about! So did they have FOOD at the church festival??? I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! - LOL!
AL
At 6:30 on Sunday evening it is 68 with some sun. We had some heavy rain yesterday evening..I was at a Polish and Hungarian Church Festival. Thank goodness for the huge tent and screens to pull down. Only rained for about half hour and some thunder...cleared up and than the warm sunshine came out. Hoping for some warmer 80's to come back!
Morning Chief!
I can relate to the teeth catering................ Was a balmy 56 degrees this AM, and we may make it to 70 if we are lucky! Time to find some warmer cloths to work outside in!
SAailspinner, Now you know what we have been going thru as of late! We will see heavy rain and severe storms on NOHAA weather radar. The storms may create some heavy winds, sometimes a little lightning, but no rain ever made it to the ground. It's been so dry in the upper atmosphere, that the rain has disappeared before it made the ground!!
Hope everyone has a great Saturday! - Cheers!! - AL
Hard to believe the temps you're getting, Chief. Strange summer.
All afternoon & evening yesterday radar showed rain all around us but we sat in a bullseye that didn't see a single drop. Again, strange. Sunny today so we'll see what happens. Temp is 76 at 8 a.m.
Sailspinner, Chief,
I think we all fell asleep for a month or two, as we now are experiencing FALL temps.
Chief, can't believe your 48 degrees............. I woke up to 54 degrees early this AM as the furnace was kicking on! And it's JULY!!!! Couldn't believe it!
We were in a local community parade this AM and we took along coats! Glad we did, as it was overcast and with a little wind, it was downright COLD !!!!
AL
It has looked like rain all day but nothing falling from the sky. The cloud cover has kept temps to low 80s. Sounds like the rest of you in the midwest are having fall instead of the tail end of July. Wonder if this means anything?
Thanks Sailspinner! My dog is feeling much better and I am so relieved. I thought I was going to lose her.
Al, I hope you are staying warm. Has been beautiful here. Even in the evening and overnight lows are not to bad. We are sailing through today with low 80's. Still liking the air being off. Yay! RAIN forecasted for early Saturday and some sct'd thunderstorms. Us Ohioans are hoping for rain and Al, I hope you get some rainfall.
Morning Sailspinner,
Yup, it's 62 degrees, out, and misting............... Overnight temps for the next 3 days will be in the LOW 50's if you can believe that! So, it's time to turn the AC off, and get a few logs for the fire place!
hoping for some RAIN!!!!
AL
Glad you dog is drinking, Shelly. Maybe dogs just have "down" days like humans do.
Record lows, Al? Wow. We're just plugging along with our usual 90s days & 70s nights. The a/c will run pretty steadily for the next month, then Sept. usually brings cooler temps to central GA but fall lingers here. Yay.
