Afternoon Update!

Well, I miss spoke earlier today! We really did get some rain! Like an inch of it!

The sad part of the whole weather forecast as of late, there wasn't one local forecaster that was even close to what was going on! Last night it was "Just a chance" of some locally showers. i.e. ~ 20% Even early this morning it was just going to be localized showers. As the cold front moved in, well things changed, and forecasters were predicting ~ 1/4 - 1/2" of rain. Well as the morning rolled on, their predictions increased to everyone getting some rain!!!!

In the end, we received a little over an inch, however, the ground is still rock hard. Will need more for the grass and plants to come back!

Cheers! - AL

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!

I am thrilled to have the warm and humid weather, I think we are suppose to get some rain or storms today. It seems like the rain usually misses Toledo, and will go North or South. It's starting to get dry here and we are needing some rainfall. I have been noticing that the leaves are falling due to the lack of rain. So I hope we get some rain today.

I wish everyone a fantastic day!!

Morning Folks!!

Chief, sounds like your weather has been very similar to ours! We got RAIN this morning. Everyone was related!!!! Checked the rain gauge, less than 2/10 of an inch. Bummer..............

Bruce,

Hope you get a chance to dry out a little, and enjoy what is left of summer!

Cheers!! - AL

Bruce, I can feel your pain! A number of yrs ago, we got sooooooo, much rain, everything was waterlogged and turning moldy!

Then last yr. we ended up in severe drought mode, with a lot of private wells going dry!

Now this yr. we started out on the wet side, and now we're heading twords drought once again. Although "Chicago" recorded over 3" for the past 30 days, those of us WEST of Chicago, haven't seen a drop so it's not fair!!

Our creek is bone dry, and the fish have been eaten by all the four legged critters around here!

So unless we start to get some rain and relief, I'm going to start hoping for some early snow!!

Sailspinner, sure wish you could ship some of your excess our way, as we surely could use it!

Cheers! - AL

We've got your rain here in GA!  More this week until Thurs.  Thank goodness we live on a ridge so the flash flood warnings don't bother us.  Temps are back into the 80s & humidity is high so the house is shut again and a/c is on.  Ugh.  But thank goodness we have a/c.

OK Seashelly, Your on! Your type of weather is coming our way this Wk. Temps are going to continue to climb up into the 90's later on in the week!

Oh, and as for any rain.............. it's been taken out of the forecast. So, we will have to wait till the end of the week and see what next week will have in store for us!

Cheers! - AL

Our rain chances is pretty slim. Still looks like we are going to be heading back into the 80's for the weekend and into next week. If the weatherman is right about it. LOL!! I am ready for the the warmer temps, so we can go back to wearing Summer clothes and flip-flops and not be so cold. It is currently sunny and our temps are in the low 60's. Fall like day.

Another rainy day and more expected tomorrow.  Aug. usually is our driest month but not this year.  High yesterday 70, 71 expected today.  Strange.

A nice sunny fall like day, next chance of rain is this Sunday. Happy to hear Chief, your getting rain. My friend in Omaha is getting much needed rain today also. Good news for the farmers!!

OOps.  Got up to a windy, chilly morning and with the rain/overcast it probably won't warm up much.  Glad I went to town yesterday.
