Hi Sailspinner...............
Left early this AM for breakfast, and the FOG has since rolled it! It's so thick, you could cut it with a knife!!!!
Just heard from some friends out on Mt Lincoln and they are about to be dumped on big time!!!!
I might take you up on that! Borrow a friends class A and head south! Who knows, I might not return til spring............. LOL!!

Crazy weather today. Heard from my friend in CO & she said they had wind gusting to 50 mph, temps dropping from 55 yesterday to 8 tomorrow, 4-8" of snow (depending on who's talking). Glad I'm not there but those of you east of CO may be in for a rough ride.
Cloudy here in GA with temps in 50s. Rain off & on all week. Come on down, Al. We may be wet but we'll be warmer than where you are!
Morning Gang!
Look out Chief, some bad stuff is heading our way! It's 39 degrees this AM with temps in the 50's today and tomorrow along with rain!
HOWEVER, the we are going to plunge to 20 to 30 degrees below normal with temps down to the 10's and 20's
Time to think about moving south!!! - LOL!

Morning Sailspinner!!!!
Yes, I'm glad this holiday is over!! - LOL
Carolyn's parents and brother just left for their drive back to Cleavland! They've been here since Tuesday!
The entire family, 15 folks were over for the food and festivities. A good time was had by all! The grand kids didn't want to leave (the Thomas train table) and go home! What a hoot!!!
We didn't go anywhere to do any shopping. However, I managed to spend lots of $$$ on line on some great tool purchases, and a set of steps for the jeep!!
As for our weather, some days are running 5-10 degrees below normal with an occasional normal day. Really can't complain!
My problem is I haven't split any of my fire wood, so I'll be in trouble if the weather turns and really gets cold, or we get a lot of snow!!!
Cheers! Everyone!!!

'Morning, weather friends. We've survived Thanksgiving and Black Friday so how's everyone doing? We had dinner with neighbors on Thurs., then yesterday we went to an openhouse at a pottery an hour north of us. My friend's husband needed something from Home Depot & there is one 10 miles from the town with the open house so we went on to Athens, made the wrong turn on the loop around Athens & spent almost half an hour finding our way back. ( I ALWAYS get lost around Athens & I can't figure out why.) After all that Home Depot didn't have the deal her husband wanted but we had a great salad for lunch, then spotted a Trader Joe's down the block &, since I've heard of them but never visited a store, we stopped there and I bought a Christmas cactus with lots of buds for only $3. I didn't spend a ton of money, there were plenty of Thanksgiving leftovers for a quick and tasty supper, the sun shown and the temp got up to almost 60 so all in all it was a great day.
We had rain, night temps in the 20s for several nights and days in the high 40s this week but we're into a warming trend now with nights in the 40s & days near 60. No rain until Mon.
Happy weekend. Can you believe it's only a month until 2014 already? Enjoy.
Hi Chief
Well it looks like the next week it's called, Cool, Wet, and Cold for the next week!
So, what ever you get, I'll see 12 - 24 hours later!!!!!!!!!!!
The sad part of all this is, I haven't started to split any of my fire wood! Bummer......
See Ya!

For those of us living in N IL we have a rather neat service available to us!
http://www.myfoxchicago.com/weather
There is a window on this weather page that allows people to report live what is happening in their local community as weather passes thru! So many people are able to use their smart phones to watch the weather radar in real time, as well as being able to text what is happening.....
Looks like eight counties will be declared as disaster areas...

All I can say is WoW! It's still quite windy outside, with wind chills down into the low 20's this morning!!!!
Tragically, several small towns south of us received significant storm damage, several were totally leveled!! GONE!!!
The sad news is we lost six people during these tornado's. Folks had a six minute warning before the storm hit!!
We happened to be at church when the storm hit! The building was built 15 yrs ago, and I've never heard the building rumble before as the storm went thru. We don't know how much rain we actually received, as the rain was coming down horizontally for over 15 minutes, with wind gusts of up to 65 MPH. Town south of us experienced wind gusts of 70, 75, and 80 MPH!
To put things in perspective, you knew the pending storm was going to be bad, when the NFL, and the Chicago had plans in place to stop the game and evacuate both the football teams as well as all 60,000 fans, should the storm hit Chicago! Two hours latter, the game resumed!!
We had over 24 notice that we were going to experience some bad weather. However, no one had any idea of how sever it was going to be, nor that we were going to experience the number of tornado hits.
The good news out of all of this was the amount if very specific information home owners were able to receive in real time on the pending storm! As the storm was moving thru, the local meteorologists were able to predict when the severe weather was going to impact local communities!
The storm outbreaks yesterday may have spawned over 80 tornado's across several states.

How's everyone doing after those storms raged through the midwest yesterday? Unusual to have tornadoes this time of year but not unheard of. We got drizzly rain and that's it. Temps in the high 60s/low 70s during the day & 50s at night. Hope everyone is ok.
Sheeeesh! Guess I'll stop complaining about how cold it is in GA and just be thankful I don't live in MO or IL!
