Well, it's COLD outside, -12 degrees, throw in WC and we are between -25 to -30 degrees............ Wonder how many cars will not start this AM! Like my daughter's Diesel bug!

Good Morning!
Well, we escaped the heavy snow and ice. We did drive up to Taylor, Michigan yesterday. My Mother in law and I went shopping and we did get some of our Christmas shopping done. Was snowing lightly when we came out, but nothing too bad where we had to clean the car off. Just a tad bit of icy snow on the front windshield. Driving home was last evening was terrible!!!! Black ice was on I - 75!!!!! We were approaching a bridge and noticed all the forway flashers on....so as we came up to the bridge there was a suv that spun out and I saw a man standing along side the bridge looking down...that can only mean that another car went flying over the bridge. I wish people would slow down and take there time driving. After seeing that I told Steve, to slow down we are not in a hurry and to not follow so close. There has been so many states having icy conditions. I would much rather have the snow, easier to drive in.
Our snow total is around 1 inch and is around 30 degrees, most of our schools had a 2 hour delay.
Going out this morning to do more shopping!

Well, the white stuff started here around 3 PM and melter for a while, now we have between 1 - 2 " with more on it's way! Plan on staying home in the morning!!!!!

Based on friends in CO, since we haven't heard from Chief, he is probably without power!!!!
Friends in KY and TN have been running on their generators..... Lots of trees are down, and it's an ice rink!
As for US, we've had bitter cold, windchill this AM was -11 degrees! Have cancelled splitting wood for a few days.......... LOL
Inlaws in N OH are OK, southern OH got lots of I C E!

Just saw a report from Memphis with results of the ice storm. Makes me wonder if Chief is without power. And how about you, Al & Shelly? Our temps have dropped this afternoon but we're still at 53 & cloudy. Had a light rain early. Don't envy those of you farther north!

Doesn't sound like fun................
We have some bad stuff coming, we just don't know when or how bad!
One model the major storm goes NORTH, another one says that S IL will get buried. The 3rd we get 2-3" maybe, but the weather down in the single digits....
So I have some fire wood on the deck to keep the chill off, and in case we loose power. If all goes well, I may split some fire wood this weekend!!

Hello friends! Has been wayyyy to long since I have been here. Looks like we are going to have some ice and sleet overnight. Winter Storm Cleon will miss us, however there is a new winter storm that was just named...I think they are calling this one Dion? We will get snow here on Sunday and maybe into Monday. Have a nice evening everyone and stay warm.

We've been in a cloud most of the afternoon, with the fog getting even thicker tonight!!!
Yup! Tomorrow morning estimate 55 degrees, then 5 hrs later 30 degrees, and we are down hill from there!!
