It's -7 with a wind chill of -25........
Daughter's bug, all the doors are frozen shut. She can get in thru the trunk are. So we'll have to get it started, and moved into the heated garage to warm up!
Hope everyone is staying warm!

Hi Chief!
We are at 5 degrees this afternoon. Jeep started OK, However couldn't shift the trans out of P as the shift cable was frozen..... Bummer!

Morning Gang!
What ever you folks heard about out weather was all a lie! The past few days were snowy, sleet, and rainy. We only receive around 2" of the wet stuff! I think all the news outlets are out for ratings!!!!
The next 5 days will be in the teens, with a few dipping to -1 or lower overnight. Time for a few more logs on the fire!!
Cheers! - AL
OK, thought it was a private rd! LOL - Bummer
Glad I don't live on one of those, as our Corvettes have only 4" of ground clearance!!

Our dirt road is 7 miles long. It's a county road to they county grades it & throws gravel on slippery spots from time to time. We've been here 5 years & for several years before we came the county has talked about paving a portion of the road. So far no dice. We're 25 miles from town too & only 6 other families are out here full time at the end of the road so it's no wonder they don't spend the millions to pave for so few people.
Many years ago we lived in a rural area of southern Indiana. The development poured used motor oil over gravel & over time built up a very servicable hard surface road. That, of course, would be illegal now.
Morning Sailspinner!
I hate to ask, but how long is your dirt road???
Don't know where you live in GA. but a friend of mine had a long dirt/gravel road also. He lived in a semi-rural area, so he cut down the dirt along his existing driveway ~ 10" then he contacted some of the local driveway contractors and asked them for their broken-up asaphalt and cement. So he filled in the 10", then put some road rock / screens on to! It's now rock solid, doesn't even sink when the garbage trunks arrive! Just a thought!

Love that graphic, Chief. Thanks for sharing - but please keep your weather. We are at 72 degrees and expecting rain in a couple of hours, if the radar is to be believed. Shouldn't last long but it will play havoc with our dirt road. Plumber didn't return my call yesterday so we'll rely on the guest bathroom until after Christmas. Oh well.
Morning Chief!
Love your graphic! You got more than we did! During the past several days, it's stayed warmer than expected. So we had a lot of rain and freezing drizzle, with a trace of some snow!
The next few days will be in the low 30's, then it will nose dive to the low teen, with below zero overnight! Cant wait till spring! Time to put another log on the fire!

Morning Gang!
Well, let's see.......We had rain all night, then earlier in the AM it turned to sleet and started to stick! Now we have a raging snow storm going on and it's sticking. They are predicting 1-3" in one report, another expects 3-5", so who know how much we will receive!
However, tomorrow, we're only expecting to see 10 - 14 degrees........ And only 87 till spring!!!!
AL
Morning Sailspinner!
WoW! Can't believe your weather and the Hi Temps!!!
I Can understand your issue with the Mud! We have some property out in CO. and it gets to be a challenge to get out to it anytime!
As far as your plumbing problem, I would leave it alone till the "Calvary" arrives... - LOL!
And Merry Christmas, to you and yours!
