Chief, your having a heat wave......... Tues will be -11 and overnight will be -18 with WC down to -45 or lower................

Sailspinner, Can't help! Your going to have talk to Mother Nature!! I tried before Christmas to no email, she dumped 6" on us instead!!!

The snow has basically stopped for now, and the winds have really picked up!

I'm back inside now, I'm tired of chasing the snow. Will worry about it sometime Wed AM as I'm not planning on going any where!!

Morning............. Sounds like it's a little chilly down your way!

The snow is behind us, had some where around a foot. Hard to tell as it's been blowing a bit!

Had some excitement this AM, as the daughter's diesel did not want to start! I wasn't ready to go outside, hadn't even started the coffee!

For us, the next 7 days are going to be bone chilling, down to as much as -17, and that is without the wind chill factor! Sooooooooooo, I'm not going anywhere. Staying home in front of the fire place.

I really feel bad for the folks out east! Over 2 ft of snow, then blowing and drifting snow and 40 - 50 mph winds. Not fun!

Chief must be in hibernation! Haven't heard from him in a while!

You folks up north are really getting the brunt of things but our temp is 24 this morning.  High winds last night & we lost power about midnight, it came on briefly, then out again, but on permenantly (we hope!) around 4:30.  At least the wind has laid and we didn't lose any more trees.

Good Morning Weather Buddies!!!!

Well it looks like mother nature is having a major temper tantrum across most of the US. Looks like over 20 states are affected, with snow, winds, and bitter cold. Looks like we will be looking for a WEEK of below zero weather.

Out of our group, it looks like Chief, Seashelly, and myself are the ones in harms way.....

Time to move more firewood onto the deck in case we loose any power!!! Not planning on going out and doing anything for the next week!!!

Good Evening Everyone! 

Our snow totals so far are around 5 inches at almost 9 P.M. Tomorrow morning should be a real fun ride into work. Snow is having sleet mix in and winds are picking up with the drifting now. Al , your on the high end of the scale as far as snow totals..I see. Today we celebrated Christmas with my Dad and Step-Mother. Now we have finally completed all of our rounds with the family for the Holiday celebrations. Woo Hoo and Yeahhh! Glad to be home and off the snowy icy roads! 

Have fun using the snowblowers and be careful if you have to shovel. Will see what it's like in the morning? Stay warm out there!

Afternoon Chief! and a Happy New Yr! - LOL!!!!

Well................., it continues to snow on and off all day. We probably have around 6-7" now, with more on the way! It's blowing and starting to drift, so it's a good day to stay inside!! So it's time for me to put another log on the fire for the family. Then it's out to the garage to finish up a car project. Then it's time to fire up the ole Jeep, put it in 4WD, and head over to a friends house to give him a hand with one of his cars....

Will take the back roads as they are more fun to drive with the 4WD, and everyone else is off the roads........... So stat warm, and we'll see what mother nature has in store for us for Thrs, Fri - LOL!

Good Morning Sailspinner, and Happy New Years!!!

Glad to hear that things are back to normal for you weather wise.......

As we live in a semi-rural are, we experience blowing and drifting snow! As the day progressed yesterday the weather was getting nuts. So we decided not to go to a friends house . First time in 13 yrs we didn't go to their place. Our daughter and SIL also decided to stay home. There is always another weekend, another night to celibate!

We are scheduled for a few more inches today, so time for another log for the fire................

Happy New Year Everyone!  Last week we had hard rain, very high water in the lake, river flood warning  but now things are back to normal both water & temperature wise.  Temps running in 40s at night & 50s days.  I don't envy you guys up north one little bit!  Hang in there, spring is coming.  Stay dry, stay healthy.

It is a chilly night here. Around 18 degrees. We have light snowfalling and will have snow for the next two days. The weathermen are saying our snowfall will be around 9 inches by Thur. afternoon.
